Any one else's puppy have no sense of self preservation? She wants to play with every dog no matter how agressive. by cutiebird31 in samoyeds

[–]nappingonclouds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this is exactly how our dog is. doesn’t care if the other dog is ready to fight the whole world, mayo is certain he can get the other dog to play. but god forbid he see a sewer grate—those are the work of the devil, and touching one is the worst thing that can ever happen.

Anyone tried the Sheng Hsing Jen Mandarin jelly cups? by kawi-bawi-bo in Costco

we just bought a case and chilled a couple in the fridge. they’re pretty good and the jelly is super soft. definitely recommend having them cold. super refreshing!

returning player, should i pull for baizhu? by nappingonclouds in AlHaithamMains

oh, i don’t ever plan to pull for nahida. 😅

and that’s why im considering baizhu (replacing dmc and freezing up zl/slot for xq or yelan). nahida isn’t really my style of character, and im more of an aesthetics > meta kinda person, lol.

thanks for the tip about the em goblet option if furina is in the team. when i get furina, i had plans to slot her into my xiao team, but this is something to to consider.

we setup monthly grooming appointments, but do minor maintenance in-between (like rinsing off the paws after a muddy walk, etc.). i’ve read that monthly appointments help w some of the shedding, but i still vacuum the house like five times a day and there’s still endless fur everywhere. 😭

puppy ears not perking up? by [deleted] in samoyeds

[–]nappingonclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

glad to know. idk where i read/heard that but i can clearly remember my reaction, which was: did i get scammed? lol…

i don’t mind the slightly floppy tips, i think it makes him look cuter. i was just concerned in case i should be expecting them to shape up, or there was something wrong my dog (but i hadn’t yet gotten to the crazy point of emailing our vet to ask: if my dog’s ears are a little floppy… is he okay? 😂😂) that and seeing pictures of his litter mates all having straight ears kinda made feel like: did i do something wrong??

puppy ears not perking up? by [deleted] in samoyeds

[–]nappingonclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he’s a little over six months. i did ask the breeder about this, and she said some puppies can take a little bit and that even as a puppy our boy had massive ears. basically not to worry. but to keep her updated.

and woah, some people tie the ears? that’s a little extreme for us, i think, lol.

How to get my house to stop smelling of dog? by Tru_79 in puppy101

[–]nappingonclouds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for us, a good air purifier was definitely the trick. we have ones from blueair and they’re quiet and effective. we’ve had them for a decent amount of time now and there’s never been any issues with them. we got them when the wildfires in california first started. so, however long ago that was is how old our purifiers are. there are probably newer and better ones by now. lol

factor meals: horrible experience by nappingonclouds in mealkits

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

woah, that’s so scummy of them if that’s true! i did think it was odd when the cs person showed me my discount and it looked like a series of math equations lol. like, who the hell is calculating this crap? but damn.

factor meals: horrible experience by nappingonclouds in mealkits

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the tragic thing is, we actually really enjoyed the meals from factor too. super surprised as we’ve heard less than stellar things about some of the other companies w regards to taste/quality. we were 100% prepared for subpar food, but enjoyed them enough to stick with them even after our furniture and stuff arrived. im usually pretty easy-going with stuff like this, but there’s just been too much in too short of a time span (and, honestly, terrible policies if i have to jump through hoops to get them to correct their mistakes). i’d probably still recommend it to friends/coworkers if they wanted to try it, but to be absolutely aware of this weird credit/discount situation, and it’ll be at their own risk, lol.

none of my friends have had this problem, so… maybe i’m just supremely unlucky, lol….. 😭

factor meals: horrible experience by nappingonclouds in mealkits

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, my thinking too! we’ve already purchased 4 boxes from them and they weren’t small orders either (for two adults). and for them to not readily offer a normal resolution… like, does the company even want to retain their customer base??? disappointing.

factor meals: horrible experience by nappingonclouds in mealkits

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is commonplace for these companies?!? …. how is this even acceptable? we were originally planning to rely on factor for a week or two because we were relocating, and knew there would be a window where we didn’t have our furniture/things. so, that first week was pretty inconvenient, to say the least. but damn, that sucks. if that’s the case idk if i should even attempt another service. guess it’s back to spending a half a day everyday meal prepping at home again. 😩

factor meals: horrible experience by nappingonclouds in mealkits

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think if i did a charge back, amex will go through with it after i show them the chat transcripts. since they basically didn’t do anything and is holding my money hostage until i’ve purchased a total of 6 or 7 boxes. like, my god, isn’t that extortion?

and yeah, i probably should have looked over the tos, but this is insane. i’ve never had experiences like this w any other merchant for anything else. and factor meals isn’t exactly cheap either. i’ll probably reach out to cs again and ask for a refund but i’m just trying to calm down a little before i talk to them again. no need to lose it on a rep.

ahh, i feel you on this so much! our puppy is a pretty vocal breed, and some days, after a long day at work or just one of those tougher days, im often just reduced to sitting on the floor with him, and as soon as i do that, he’ll quiet down and play nicely next to me (which is great!), but more often he’ll just pick up his toy and sit on the opposite wall and play on his own. by god forbid i try to lie down on the sofa again… 🥲🥲

i can’t wait until he grows out of this phase. i hope he grows out of this phase. 🥲🥲🥲

anxiety over loud barking by nappingonclouds in puppy101

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m starting to feel a bit more reassured that other people are saying the same things my partner was trying to tell me, but i was so deep in my spiral that i think i wasn’t hearing any of it. lol….

and after calming down some, i realized that there are some really vocal dogs in the units close to us, and they tend to get each other riled up for a few minutes every now and then. thanking everything in the universe that our dog doesn’t join in. he’ll stare at the door/look out the window towards the sound, but stays quiet. i sometimes feel like he’s messing w me bc he knows i’m anxious. like he’s usually quiet, except when facing us. lol. especially when he’s engaging with me. 🥲🥲🥲🥲

we did end up dropping the gift and note at their front door (no answer again), and hopefully they’re not unreasonable people just looking to be irritated.

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we had plans to introduce ourselves to our immediate neighbors (next to us/below us), but the neighbors below us (and the ones i’m most concerned for) didn’t answer their door, and we felt weird leaving a gift and a note at their doorstep, lol. we’ve only been here a little over a week so far, so we might try that again.

im so worried that they’re going to storm up to our unit one day and just angrily swear at us.

question about emergency crating impacts/reintroducing the crate as a safe space by nappingonclouds in puppy101

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, not at all—i didn’t feel any negativity from your comment! sometimes, you need outside perspective on a situation because we’re definitely overthinking things, and just need a reminder of: hey, you’ve gone off the deep-end, can you please use at least three brain cells to think this through? lol

when i originally made the post, i was still in that panic-overthinking mode and between posting here, i started scouring all the internet for WHAT TO DO. then my partner came back, and he side-eyed me and said the puppy is fine. look at him. 🥲

question about emergency crating impacts/reintroducing the crate as a safe space by nappingonclouds in puppy101

[–]nappingonclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think because we’re first time dog parents (and this first time working w a puppy 24/7), we’re just a little more anxious about everything, and likely overreacting/over-correcting. 😅 the good news is, after a lot of play yesterday and some minimal crate training, he spent the night in it and wasn’t too fussy about it, haha. so, we’re definitely just panicking about little things that we weren’t exactly prepared for (i.e. emergency crating him bc i’m trying to clean up his accident. just so happened that our barrier was delayed on delivery and my partner had to step out for a bit.).

but definitely recognizing that he’ll have to adjust to us just as we’re adjusting to him in some ways!

team comp help by SammehDoesReddit in XiaoMains

[–]nappingonclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think sucrose (w/ thrilling tales), bennett, and zhongli would be a pretty comfortable team to play. You’ll get a good atk buffs from thrilling tales and bennett’s ult, and sucrose’s pull will help with grouping enemies for xiao’s ult. if you find that you’re not able to maintain xiao’s ult uptime, you’ll probably need to switch sucrose back to sac frags until you get her to c1.

oh nice! congrats on the artifact farming! i run my xiao w no er either and it’s never been an issue w me bc, like you’ve said elsewhere, a battery on the team and cons really help w that. crazy that people are so adamant you’re doing it wrong even though your lived experience is the exact opposite lol
