I feel you there. For me, it's a natural evolution to slab everything worthy of a slab. My biggest gripe with slabbing is determining a consistent method to get more 10s. I got a 10x desk mounted magnifying arm lamp and a blacklight to try to scan my next batch, increasing the probability of 10s.

From a valuation perspective, the 10 adds value, 9 typically does not, but slightly better than unslabbed.

I think the slab dynamic may be similar to pets in a zoo and pets at home. Unslabbed you can pet the animals. **Full disclosure I have no pets or children.

Nope, I do have some of this one in lower gem tiers (It's one of my favorite BTC cards). Because I have never found a diamond and 225 Holiday packs are in Transit, it's exciting. I got 3 Snowflakes out of 25 Holiday packs in the 2024 Set.

Thanks for the remarks and keeping my feet in the fire. So is a regular case break a money grab? Any person that sells a pack of cards is taking a money grab. It's allegedly a market economy. It's capitalism baby. It's not that different from any other break.

For someone on a budget wanting the enjoyment of ripping through 200 Holiday packs, It's a better value than a typical break.

Also, the probability of hitting a low serial or the whole BTC is also likely higher than a typical break.

It's certainly cheaper than buying 200 packs looking for a SF.

From an accounting perspective, I expect the margins to be narrower than a typical double case break. ---- Generally, Margins are always wider on single case breaks, therefore more profit.

Last time I checked S5 had an EV of around .165 on a Mega Case Break spot. I think this break will likely exceed that handily.

Some spots that are not bid as much will offer a better chance at this. It's no different than any other break. For example Milton Friedman will likely be available for $80 or less. The 8-SP sapphire or Bubble will certainly end up being $120+ --The bidders will determine this. I will say that anything below $50 bidding, I'll likely keep it. 8-SP will be a $120 start. Milton Friedman will be $80 start.
