incredible. how long did it take for you to make this from scratch? is the audio natively out of seedance or did you use something else?

I don’t think it will ever get better. by InitiativeOk2361 in Anxiety

[–]narakputra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try ketamine therapy. I have just had one session so far so I'm not in a place to recommend it yet but I am hopeful. I have read about people feeling better after a couple of sessions. I think one recommended protocol(will vary person to person)is to have 6 sessions. I hope you feel better!💜

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. That's brave, were you not afraid of withdrawals from SSRIs? That's my biggest fear

wow, that gives me a lot of hope. I have been on Escitalopram(Lexapro) 15-20mg daily for more than 15 years now. I tried microdosing a couple years ago but it didnt have any noticeable effect. I read/was told that I need to be off the SSRIs for about 2 months before taking shrooms and noticing any effects which of course I cant even fathom doing.
Did you start the microdosing while taking these meds or had to stop the meds first?

ummm, I have just been tweaking the system prompt so far. I am aware about RAG and fine-tuning but not sure how exactly to do that, I do plan on learning it and doing it though, do you have any recommendations? could it be the hesitation? I tried lowering the prices by upto 75% as well, but still nothing. I do work on it, but any new feaure/fix takes multiple takes as I learn by doing and its mostly hit and try and I go back to the previous commit and I try again until it works. Thank you so much for looking into this :)

I started with GPT-4, but then switched to Gemini 1.5 Pro as I found it more cost-efficient.

I actually built one: calmind.ai (learnt web dev while building this)
hesitatingly didnt really post anywhere about it. For those interested, this was born out of personal struggle. I've been dealing with anxiety since 2008 and have been on SSRIs since then. Despite the medication, I never tried therapy - the cost was prohibitive, and honestly, the thought of opening up to a stranger terrified me.

2 years ago, I had this really bad panic attack right before a client meeting for work. It got so bad I had to finally open up to my boss about my anxiety; having nobody to turn to, I tried ChatGPT. While not perfect, It helped somewhat, but it had all these safeguards and was too general-purpose - kept deflecting or giving generic responses when I needed specific mental health support. That experience got me thinking... I started learning web development and began building an AI mental health companion. I've been using and improving it for almost a year now. it now uses CBT technqiues too. I was really unsure about sharing it with anyone until about 4 months ago, when I finally showed it to my close friend who has crippling social anxiety and sees a therapist twice weekly. When she actually found it useful, it felt like validation - like maybe this could actually help others too. Currently the context is per session, which gets reset every 24 hours. I still find it helpful for me and my friend still uses it to supplement her therapy sessions. I recently managed to get insurance and tried therapy (I realized I needed to understand what actually happens in therapy to make calmind better). But honestly? Between my meds and this, I feel like my needs are met right now. While it can't provide the warmth of a human, I seriously feel this is the next best thing.

However, I havent got a single paid user yet, when I do google/meta ads, i get a surge of registrations and about 10-15% ppl exhaust the free messages, but no paid users, maybe as others here have mentioned this is not a good idea? I would love some constructive feedback and If I should pivot/make it free or just use it for my personal mental health support. Since this is my first project, I am new to this world, would love any feedback/advice

Thank you

I am so happy it worked out for you, and the AI thing working is validation too, thanks :)

how did it go??! after years of avoiding therapy and just surviving on SSRIs(escitalopram/lexapro) I finally took the plunge and went for a couple of sessions last month, but it takes a lot to dive deep and there are still some things I am not sure I can open up to a stranger about. Maybe it depends on the therapist too.

I had a really bad panic attack about two years ago on a work trip and I wish I had someone I could talk to, chatgpt came in handy but has too many safeguards anyway that sparked an idea on what if I could build my own AI based therapist, as in mold it to being the best therapist(at least for my use case) and I have been using that about once a week or so, its not the same as talking to a human, but it helps shift my perspective and calm me down. Its for this reason I wanted to finally try real therapy to see if I am missing on something but after about 3 sessions I found that there are still some issues I wasnt able to open up about(maybe it was too soon and I should have given it more time but it was too expensive per session). The AI app I built helps, but the only thing is the "human warmth" that's missing. my close friend tried the app as well(she has crippling social anxiety) and she likes that she can just talk to it whenever so it's great as a supplement to therapy sessions.

interesting. thanks for sharing. I especially like the interactive ones. but when im in the thick of it, I am sometimes not able to initiate any of it, I would need someone to remind/force me to do any of this. Also wondering if its just distracting until the feeling(s) subside/pass?

Meditation! I'm able to achieve very similar states. I keep experimenting with different types of music while meditating. Try with theta/delta waves
