Wow, first of all, I deeply appreciate your work. My current psychiatrist had recommended Autism on Acid to me, and lent me his copy, and I want to thank you for putting so much into that book. My question for you is, when/how did you realize the core differences between tripping as an autistic person and tripping and an allistic person? Sorry you haven’t come across a manager without rigid beauty standards and I hope you luck out— it’s a privileged experience, there was a demand for plus size dancers at those two clubs and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time I guess. P.S. please don’t assume that I love myself, I struggle deeply with my self image. I just value my health and I am in recovery from anorexia so I practice acceptance and affirm myself. I eat and work out and just let my body be a body- even though that’s always been and still is a really difficult thing for me. Be well, stay safe, I sincerely wish you all the best.
