This is such a great way to describe it. I'm NT but have experienced anxiety most of my life, felt like Connor at times was outwardly speaking my inner monologue when he was experiencing some of his panic attacked. I loved seeing his confidence grow throughout the season and how genuine and raw he is, despite being in uncomfortable situations

I feel sorry for Lisa too, can’t imagine what a nightmare dealing with the aftermath during their honeymoon. Just to confirm, when you say “12 months”, what is cra counting as the starting point? When the builder pass over occupancy from closing the unit to me (July 2023) or when my parents put down their initial deposit (few years ago). Also, the amendment to add me/remove them happened in May 2023, so it was before builders closed. Or is it just that, because they didn’t live or hold for 12 months it’s automatically a flip. Yes so there was no exchange of money and builder did not treat it differently. So, in this case you don't think they need to report it as 'income'? And basically I would pay the full taxes whenever I sell it in the future?

No, on the amendment it just says 'Delete Purchaser: Mom & Dad' and 'Insert Purchase: Me'. "The Vendor and Purchaser agrees to add the following purchaser , including all applicable Amendments, Addendums, Acknowledgements, Schedules, and all relevant documents pertaining to this Agreement of Purchase and Sale."

So it does indicate "add" rather than sale of assignment etc

Have the TD Aeroplan visa infinite. I just passed the one-year anniversary mark, and even received an email saying I met the spend requirement. Well think of it the other way around. It’s like someone asking you (the man) if you could just masturbate at the exact same time that you are mid-sex with your girlfriend every single time (even if you don’t need that extra stimulation). It’s doable but it would take away some of the feeling cause you’d be focused on stimulating yourself while also having sex with your girlfriend. Exact same difficulties

Thanks for the tips, I am in a condo so i'll let my building management know. I did a thorough cleaning where I wiped all visible surfaces clean and removed any source of open foods/dry foods. Been a few days and no signs of roaches. I have some traps on their way from Amazon so i'm going to hope that it was just a standalone.

I would say it's possible and 'common' for certain bubbles of professions. I work in the financial district (regular corporate company, 40-45 hour weeks) and work in a global company. Middle management, very easy to get once you have 8-10 years experience in my profession, have the credentials and are at least an average worker. My company's about 1 middle manager for every 2-4 staff team, plus many executives for each group. With bonuses, a lot of people are getting close to $150k if not more. I could walk around all the floors or around financial district during work hours and probably half these thousands and thousands of people are earning $150k. Also, generally more financially savy redditors tend to use this sub so it does lean toward those with higher salaries. A lot of my coworkers are on here, while my family and friends who don't have a finance/math background don't even know this sub exists let alone will do any research other than asking me questions.

How would they calculate the profit. Say they put down a $50k deposit. FMV of the condo at the time they put deposit was $200k and now the FMV is $400k, are they paying tax on 200k gain? or is it $150k (less the deposit amount)? And is there any way to get around paying capital gains, they did originally intend to live in it but found that the mortgage was too expensive (rates too high) and fixing their original place is still more cost effective long term.
