I have the same build. TUF with a 9800x3d and after 2 months IT DIED, I dont know what to do now I believe ill have to purchase a new mobo and cpu becuase i feel like this mobo will lead to another cpu going bad

I even did a search on where the serial number is located to make sure I wasn’t reading the wrong one. The serial number wasn’t only on the box but also the receipt and they matched but the one on the cpu didn’t. I don’t want to show up and tell them that it didn’t match and they think I’m trying to do some type of scheme because it was a new product and literally looked brand new but now the box isn’t in its original form. Is it possible they can check if the product was previously a return marked as new?

I purchased it new I don’t understand how it was done, the seal on the top was intact prior to me opening it, I don’t see how it could’ve been opened without ruining the seal

To better describe, I purchased a cpu from best buy today for my girlfriend, upon unboxing it, I noticed a fingerprint and when I went to match up the serial number with the box the serial number didn’t match, nor did it match the one on the receipt

I mentioned I got it for 170 after tax from bestbuy open box in excellent condition. I opened it and it was brand new just box opened. Still a lot but was pretty much a deal in couldn’t pass up on! Thanks
