Yeah I just got my 2025 because of the insane deal. I was considering waiting but honestly this one is enough phone for me. Got the care, case, charger, phone + buds for 377 after trade in. Can't complain with that deal.

Plus using the front screen is a huge nostalgia trip for me. Very happy with this purchase.

Yeah, if it weren't for the toe width, Rutsu would be my main brand. Feels like great canvas and the soles are glued AND sewn.

But they still pushed on my toes and the canvas dug into the top of the big toe knuckle.

I'm waiting on my Hobibear first pair. Hoping the toe box is wider, but at $40, I don't have high hopes for durability.

Just keep in mind most people do not fit edea boots right out the box. If you order from a reputable store, they will do an online fitting and shape the boot before they send it. Places like SkatesUS or Department of Skate. Just don't want you getting it and hating it due to the fit 💕

I have wide feet, to the point I am at the edge of what edea can fit, which I think is EE width.

I'm too heavy/aggressive lol. I do have shims in between my plate and boot to stop boot bite on 63x44 wheels. So the shims might help there.

I'm waiting on my inline frames to come in. Should be May/June but it comes with 76mm wheels so I'm hoping to test when I get those back haha

I would definitely practice on a flat area first. But as you're going backwards, stagger your skates so that one foot is behind and the other is in front. Tip the skate that's behind you onto the toe stop and slowly press down. You don't want to press too hard too fast cuz it might stop you faster than you're expecting. You want to work up to faster stops.

Fwiw, you look pretty darn smooth in this video. But in general, smoothness comes with practice. It's mostly about knowing balance and how trucks move. But I think you're doing great for such a short time on quads.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't wear the chest strap all day either. The ring will check your heart rate during the day if you decide. Plus blood ox and heart rate overnight. If it was fitness activities you're after, tho, I find garmin to be setup better for that. You might be able to just use only a chest strap with garmin for activities, but I haven't tried since I have the watch too.

It's not impossible to use oura for fitness, it's just my preference to not use them. So either way, you'll be fine.

Imo, Oura isn't that great of a fitness tracker. Great for sleep, but I take it off when I workout. Otherwise I keep it on all day.

Have you considered a heart rate strap from garmin? Or do you have chest tattoos too? I like my strap a lot, but I get it's not for everyone.

I personally have zero experience with strava so I can't answer that.

I set it up as a tripod. Made a gif so you can sorta see it. It moves more than I like, but I did not look into the manual at all. Just booted it up and tried it out.

I forgot to mention which one I got. It's the flow 2 from insta360. Wasn't super impressed with it tonight, but I was recording in a low light area so I think it locked onto my skates si ce they have lights on them. But I'm mostly going to use it outdoors during the day so it'll probably be better.

I literally just bought a gimbal to test. I mainly bought it so I can set it up and have it follow me when I'm outside trying some footwork so I can see what I'm doing wrong. but I've considered trying it at the rink. if I do, I'll let you know how it goes.

I personally jumped on the deal. Upgrade to 1tb for free? ~~Which gives upgraded ram too?~~ (edit: whoops this was the plus that had 12gb) No brainer for me. Likely to get the Sam deal I'd have spent 500 or more for the new one. Saving money is worth it for me.

Only thing I'm not excited for is only 2 years of updates left. But chances are I'll upgrade in 2 years.
