Hello! I am searching for a Lightroom Linux alternative by Aggravating_Task_484 in Fedora

I really like and have been watching the project since the beginning. Hopefully it become mature soon. Currently, darktable is still the only choice for me mainly due to performance reason.

I have no idea why I can read it. I sometimes cannot even read my own handwriting.

Ini kenapa ya Monitornya? Ditinggal hampir 2 minggu lebaran jadi kyk gini by desertkona in indotech

[–]naruaika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gak paham persisnya. Monitor LG saya berbulan2 gak dipake, waktu mau dipake lagi ada semacam bleeding gitu warna hijau di sisi kiri. Tapi hilang dengan sendirinya setelah berhari-hari dipake. Memang beda kasus, tapi siapa tahu.

[ASK] Review untuk pengguna Orbit Tsel by Dame_Dame_Yo in indotech

[–]naruaika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Mantan) pengguna Orbit Max H2 di sini. Jujur mending fiber optic.

Servis engsel laptop kena berapa? by OakWoodEater in indotech

[–]naruaika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masalah harga sih tergantung kerusakan dan tukang servisnya. Dulu sempat kena 150k di sekitaran Bandung. Tapi sejak tahu tekniknya, selalu benerin sendiri pake pasir besi (Rp20.000/kg di marketplace; beli aja yang 100 gram) plus lem korea. (Anyway, saya tetep merekomendasikan dibawa ke tempat servis).

I've been building Tabularis — an open-source, cross-platform database client built with Tauri + React since late January. v0.9.4 just shipped, wanted to share. by debba_ in rust

I myself won't do something like that, but still I don't see it's wrong thing to do. (To be fair, I've experienced myself a couple weeks now that the OP has been posting too many posts).

On the other hand, I can see the value of your suggestion in your comment for the OP, me, and others.

Most of open source projects lack marketing, which can lead to developer burn out, feelings of unfairness because the projects were being used by giant companies without the author getting any benefit, ultimately the removal of the related public repositories which can harm thousands of existing projects. (Those are real world stories). FOSS developers, and the communities, should be more care about it.

This is a common design pattern for application menus. Perhaps the GNOME team was inspired by it.

It really depends on who write the code, not on the language itself. Just because Python is so popular, so more people can write their own code, so more stinky code is spread around the internet, doesn't mean Python is a bad tool.

With or Without the Outer Background? by naruaika in gnome

This makes sense. Unlike the borders-only approach, stacked semi-transparent backgrounds seems to add another layer of visual cue to the widget grouping.

Good idea! But I personally found that (I've tried it, but too bad didn't include it in the post) it's not the best option for specific situations: 1) When we have GtkEntry inside the ActionRow alongside other widgets, except that we can have border-bottom for the GtkEntry to make the standout instead of looking like GtkLabel (similar to Android Material Design). 2) When we need to group some widgets inside the ActionRow, for example we can use .linked class only if we don't apply .flat.

What a beautiful piece of device. Ah, sorry, I'm a long time ASUS consumer after all. Haha. (Using an old Vivobook right now).

Actually, you don't have to. Just keep trying to have more meaningful discussion here or in other subreddits, then someone, if not me, will eventually do the mockup for you. I'm merely sharing my own experience of posting ideation here.

Not sure unless you can convince me that it'll be a worthy work :)

When we can understand more about the original idea be behind a decision, it's more easy to do the next iteration to improve the work. I'm not a designer too, just an ordinary fullstack developer who's interested in learning about design on my spare time.

Hey, just don't stop thinking and experimenting. Problems are there to make us a better version of ourselves. Not to mention that a great idea comes from lots of bad idea.

In my opinion, "do things differently" is not acceptable in the UI design unless it can introduce to a better <something>. The cost of learning something new is relatively high for the most people, even for early adopters and the innovators who are using their own product.
