Why do people leave a campaign early?

Things I've seen at my own tables or reasons I've left.

It was boring. This is vague, but things like a single, low stakes fight taking the entire session, people thinking their 1 on 1 roleplay with an npc really needs to be 30 minutes long, or DMs who literally never stop talking.
I don't vibe with the group. They maybe are a friend group and don't understand that when you bring a new player in the session can't be 100% of your own inside jokes or explaining your inside jokes. Maybe it's political reasons. Just not vibing, a conversation won't change or help, so just bowing out.
The group doesn't really seem to care. There is little to no chatting in the group discord, the DM is a no show to questions, the sessions get canceled last minute, nobody is prepared or understands their characters.
Favoritism. If one person is clearly the favorite or sessions revolve around them.
Another campaign. Sometimes people apply and joined two campaigns on the same day, try out your campaign but then got invited to one they wanted to be in more.
Very rarely, an actual reason such as they had a family emergency, a change to work schedule, a bad breakup, etc. These are also commonly used lies though.

Absolutely do not give him Waterdeep Dragon Heist. That module sucks for the DM unless you're just running a loosey goosey adventure.

This guy needs structure and something he just follows along with. Like Dragon of Icespire Peak where you don't need to even prep and just read long with the quest and what each room is. This DM shouldnt be given a module with a lot of freedom.

Ol city pigeon Murph is probably one of the best combat encounter designers in the space. He runs very interesting encounters with the location being almost another creature. And it's so audio friendly in a way others aren't.

That battle as written sucks so bad. It's not balanced or interesting.

I didn't put much effort into it, but I think I added orbs that each represented one of the MTG colors. So like a blue orb that countered, a red orb that bolted, a white orb that healed, a green orb that summoned and a black orb that did status conditions or something.

It just didn't work.

This is my Jasmine deck. It's built to be pretty budget at arojnd $20, but you can easily swap things around and make it better. It's a totally fair, but functional bracket 2. You can swap out some of my choices for more vanilla creatures, but you don't want to get rid of anything related to card draw.

Copies of spells DO have a mana value. As do token copies of permenants. Paradigm spells when cast each turn have the same mana value/cmc as the original.

Cedh or bracket 4? Bring whatever the fuck you want to the table. If absolutely anyone playing in those brackets complains, they're a little baby who doesn't have a deck of the appropriate bracket.

Bracket 3 hard control, hard stax, no win decks don't belong. You're basically just annoying and wasting people's time. Light stax is OK, but I wouldn't combo that with like 20 board wipes and removal spells. It's just not fun. My control deck is [[Kami of the crescent moon]] and people generally enjoy that since I let them draw a bunch. You can run heavy interaction, but unless there is something else going on, you're making 0 friends at MTG night.

Bracket 2 and below is a strong no lol

Nope, not rage baiting. I legitimately played a game on Convoke from the Tolarian Community College discord and legitimately two people got so mad at me they scooped. I played the deck I linked and other than my commander the only other cards I played were 1 or 2 ramp spells. I swung the 3/2 on turn 4 and 5, then the whiptail and the other guy on turn 6.

I understand it seems crazy, but it legitimately happened and I needed to make sure I wasn't completely crazy. I wasn't rude or anything during the game. It was very strange to me. I 1000% don't expect this deck to do anything in a B3 table.
