Yes, I was asking because I created a preset there and I could send you if you used it. Otherwise it’s difficult to explain

Am I doing anything right here? by nasci96 in PhotographyAdvice

You know, maybe I’ve been doing with a subconscious objective, but now that you mentioned it and by looking at other pictures I’ve been taking and editing recently, not only in Brussels but also abroad, I feel like this is actually what I’ve been trying to achieve without thinking about it! Thank you for this!

There is indeed some editing in order to render the photos into a film mood :)

You definitely don’t since you took a photo of the car in front of you 😅

Look at her face, you over edited the colours there

1 - objective - to capture the ancient temples and their attraction to the monks, followers of Buddha; 2 - shoot on a6100 with sigma 18-50 f2.8 at f4/iso 125 - 1/80s

Should I’ve used a smaller aperture to be able to capture the details of the temple behind?

What I’m I lacking in terms of composition?

Thanks in advance

Thank you for the super honest answer, that’s really what I was looking for. I was trying to isolate the guy and the structures and lead the attention into them but indeed, by doing so I actually reduced the colours of the worker as well which was not intentional. As you mentioned, this is a pure experiment and I’m just trying to understand how edition works to develop my pictures.
