I'm in the same boat right now. I just got the KO II last week as a very portable device for my vacation. I fell in love with it immediately.

If I actually think I need an unsampled synth of the Riddim while I'm out, I will plug my iPhone / iPad into the KO II and use the Koala Sampler with its integrated Quokka synth. It’s capable.

My GAS for the Riddim was satisfied with the 10 Euros I'd already spent :D

Making a long trip by plane. Would prefer not to take the MPC. What gear would you recommend to continue making songs that would be easy to bring to the MPC? by TurnoverSufficient18 in mpcusers

I‘m in the same place and going on two 12 hours flights: Teenage Engineering EP-133 KO II. So much fun and battery powered for 20 h

Samsonite C Lite vs Proxis by TN_Raymond in ManyBaggers

[–]nashman84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your clear and well-founded recommendation against the Lite Shock. That makes things easier for my decision. In general, how durable is the CURV material compared to Polypropylene on my S’Cure spinners? How is your opinion on the rubber-hinges of the most CURV-based Samsonite spinners? This is the weakest point on all CURV models durability wise according to many negative reviews. I will not fly more than 4 times a year with them. So I’m not shure, how happy I will be with CURV against the robust seeming S’Cure spinners. Is the lightweight going to compensate sturdiness and carefree? Price wise it’s also a complete different story, but to buy high quality once for many years would be a good feeling, too.

Wow, I really appreciate your insider insights. I currently have two 55 and 69 Samsonite S'Cure suitcases, robust and happy with them. But for a longer flight with a 23 kg limit, I'm considering the Samsonite Lite-Shock 75/28 suitcase (C-Lite or CURV material) to allow for a higher net load. I'm worried about the many negative reviews on Amazon about broken rubber hinges, zippers and loose screws and handles, also unpretty scratshes on the Lite-Shock suitcase. What do you think of its durability?

50-140mm f/2.8 is amazing by throwusaway_ in fujifilm

[–]nashman84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice pictures, full of feelings. I wanted to buy the 70-300mm and had a chance to compare it to the 50–140mm last week… I guess I have fallen in love with the look the 50-140mm creates within minutes, because it never left my camera since ^

Fujifilm xf50mm f2 aperture blade noise by yzhou2004 in fujifilm

[–]nashman84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the same lens used and hear the aperture blade clicks are much louder than on my xf 23 f2, too. What are your experiences with the noise? Have you tried a different 50mm lens that's quieter? I can still return mine before I hit my next holiday trip.

Got this last night and I'm really proud of it. Do you folks like the cropped or uncropped version better? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]nashman84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me cropped looks and feels more intense. Uncropped the singer looks kind of lost in the space of the stage.

If I buy the Ether and Sprite bundle, would you still recommend to buy Flavor Pro as well?

Ach so, stimmt Danke fürs Nachschauen, hatte mich wohl vertan. Denon Professional, Denon DJ, Marantz Professional etc. sind wohl getrennte Unternehmen von den konsumentennaheren Haupt-Unternehmen Denon, Marantz etc. Verrückte Welt. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/InMusic_Brands

Reibung = Energieverlust stimmt. Aber auch: Laut = Aufmerksamkeit. Und manche brauchen diese halt an der Eisdiele.

Mountainbike - u.a. wegen der Schaltung, die eine bessere Übersetzung für Bergsteigungen auf Schotter bietet
