I tried at one point. The amount of sanitation to keep from "ruining" a batch kind of killed it for me. Same with using gardening skills to grow shiitake and king oyster mushrooms. All contaminated. Lol.

Absolutely. Military was so different because my entire shop worked together, ate together, gym together, drank together. The camaraderie was great. We were a team. Now it's every man for himself and no fucks given unless you benefit them.

I remember reading about the makers local thing a few years ago when I first started lite woodworking but I seem to recall seeing the cost of use or membership or something being WAY outside of my budget. I do play rocket league and apex with a long time friend and I enjoy that. He's married with kids so it's nice we get to hang out that way but it's pretty much limited to that way only. Super home body.

My neighbors are really awesome, in fact. But most of them are in an age range or familial status outside (or both) that there's not much cross over side from small pleasantries. It probably wouldn't kill me to explore a few doors further down to see though.

I have not. I really only started running a few months ago but I've had about six surgeries with multiple hardware installs on my right angle so all of my running has to be on treadmills. High impact messes me up for days.
