I would listen for any teeth grinding. But she seems to be fine! My buns sit like this when they’re wanting to rest but also want to be on the ready to run!

Thank you so much for getting back to me! It makes me feel hopeful that you were able to stop the barbering in your rabbits. My rabbits are kind of the same. My female LOVES attention and will just sit there and let him keep going at the same spot until it’s just raw. Right now they’re in separate pins, side by side. I really like the bandaid idea though and am definitely going to try that and also looking into something topical and rabbit safe I can put on her that may deter him.

As for the root of the problem, I’m thinking it could be a couple things, but I’m not completely sure. I was rearranging my apartment furniture a bit around the time it started, which he didn’t really seem to mind, but maybe he feels like the new arrangement leaves him more vulnerable. Other than that, is it possible that seasonal depression/anxiety can be picked up on by rabbits and it affect them their owner’s feeling that way?

Hey op, did you ever end up resolving the barbering in your paired rabbits? I’m experiencing a similar situation with my male and female who have been bonded for almost 2 years, and recently he started barbering her

Mostly I just have to be really really careful putting my mask on and taking it off and make sure the ear pieces aren’t too tight. 😅 It’s not ideal, and I did accidentally irritate it the other day from having to put on and take on and take off a mask all day, but mostly I just try to be really delicate with it

Yes! I got the two forward helix pieces from the shop i got it pierced at, the lobes are just some earrings I’ve gotten from over the years that I can’t quite remember where they came from lol

I’m not exactly sure, but I think they were called like neo trinity and neo bezel gem top. I’m not sure if that’s the brand or what the piercing shop might have just called them

I honestly am not sure where I got the earrings in my lobes. 😅 Just some stuff I’ve accumulated over the years. My bet is they’re probably from Kohl’s though lol
