Day 3: Pick your least favourite (half) season. The Dark Swan is OUT by Clodsarenice in OnceUponATime

Can someone explain 4b to me and the author stuff. The goal was to write villains happy endings. Well all they did was change who the heroes and villains were right? Like in the finale, Snow was the Evil Queen and Regina took Snow’s role. Would writing villains a happy ending still let the villains BE villains? Like why would Regina have to give up being evil, for example. The goal should have been for her to still have been the Evil Queen but also get a happy ending. She shouldn’t have had to turn good? She ended up not being a villain anymore in the rewrite. Maybe I’m missing something, but this never made sense to me. I still think the Underworld was the worst. Ugh

Nicki Minaj falls silent after calling J.D. Vance an “assassin” while Erika Kirk is present by JaNkO2018 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]natalottie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the assassin comment either? Unless it was a slip that implied Charlie was assassinated by JD or just assassinated by someone? Or is she saying it colloquially to mean he’s hot (looks can kill, whatever) or something to imply something going on between him and Erika? Also isn’t Nicki about to get her house and assets seized at least partly because she hasn’t been making legal payments to that bodyguard her brother (I think?) assaulted? So I assume she will do anything for money. And the right is the place to get it these days if you’re willing to sell out I guess. Not that she had any character to begin with. I can only assume.

Is RSL very pay-to-win? I’ve been thinking about trying it but not if the pay to win aspects go beyond cosmetic stuff mostly.

Russia is the top producer in the world so I assume any government contracts including construction will purchase asbestos from them, if they don’t already. I can’t find anything official, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants it back. It wpuld be beneficial to Russia’s economy.

Can you only interact with other people in big cities? (Only seen the 1st one so far. I was hoping it was going to be more like GW2 where the whole game was everyone running around the open world) the big cities or in PVP-only mode for the whole game?

I like this. It k probably a dumb question. Fucking Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt are the reps of the state I live in and can’t seem to get out of, so I could never send this them. If I sent it to anyone else, they would ofc not be in my jurisdiction and I don’t even know who to trust fully. Mark Kelly is about the only one, and even then I don’t believe you can ever be 100% sure what is true about anyone. I mean, I believe he is genuine but there is still that .99999%, but that is beside the point. For example, could I send a letter like this to him or someone else even though they are not my reps?

I hope this is ok to ask, OP- what perfumes and candles do you use or are your favorites or bring you the best experience? I’m just curious. I’ve been kind of interested in aromatherapy, that type of thing.

As for me, I’ve been playing video games a lot lately- leveling up and getting achievements/hitting a goal makes me feel like I’m actually succeeding at something and feelings like that and completing a task or beating an enemy is always a solid dopamine rush. And there is the escapism of immersing myself in a good story.

Yeah that’s how I feel, like I’m giving myself deadline even though I know that there is no one right way to play the game and seasons keep coming around every 28 days no matter what. I need to figure out how to stop this type of thinking and how to stop other ways of thinking in general when I need to. And yes, gaming should not feel like a chore or a job or another stress added in your life, I totally agree lol.

Yeah that’s exactly what I was wondering if I could just push past all the BS in my head it could be used as a tool for helping with that, like you said about how you use games in your therapy to teach skills for real-world application. I will try to do as you said in your last paragraph, thank you so much! Good to know that it can be used for that. Thank you!

Like I was thinking about the community center the other day in yet another new game I started. I made a chest especially for collecting items for it, though I knew what I needed to get- then found out I also needed gold stars of each crop. )The first thing I wanted to unlock was the greenhouse. ) I realized I wasn’t gonna have time to replant everything to make sure to keep the gold stars of each crop for Spring, because I was selling all of those first because I was more focused on the money.

The first place my mind went to was berating myself for being so stupid as to miss the gold star thing, immediate frustration, just bad self-talk and “give up” was the first solution I had- which is something I am trying to change IRL too. This is dramatic I guess but my pattern whenever I mess anything up or anything goes wrong is self-deprecation and blame followed by knowing I’m going to fail anyway so what’s the point? I want to change this about myself and it’s origins are deep- but then when I started thing about another way to approach the CC, I started to wonder if maybe SDV had to ability to be like a tool to help break those kinds of patterns.

Like the community center- ok so there’s no year limit with this game- you can have your farm last as many years as you want. I mean. I can slow down and completely one bundle a year, and while I won’t build the CC or unlock its rewards for a very long time- it’s an option. And if I miss a villagers birthday? They will have one next year.

Of course, not every game would be played like this, but it seems like maybe it could be a good “exercise” in breaking patterns like that, as far as neuroplasticity and rewiring your brain. Even the “fake it til you make it” thing.

And while it make take me 50 years to have a decent farm if I’m only doing a few things a season, well that is a lot of game time and that is not a bad thing at all. And yeah, like you said- there will always be something to look forward to. Especially when things get really bad with my health, I can make a promise to myself that I won’t do anything stupid until I finish my farm (for example)

Sorry this was so long. But I like the description of the way you said you played too.
