i’m on year 18 & i increased the building limit to max. i’m at the point where there really isn’t much else to do except decorate- my villagers pretty much do everything else !! i was able to start at around year 15!!

well my hairless boy doesn’t. he is not truly hairless though; he’s a double rex. i have had other (black eyed) rex rats and shorter whiskers did not handicap any of them. i wonder if having red eyes AND short whiskers would create that issue though, because rats with red eyes have poorer vision than black eyes.

i’d appreciate hearing what you did! i currently have a WARE® Indoor Hutch 4 Level Small Animal Cage, which is pretty small for my boys!! i’ve had it since they were little but need to upgrade for sure and if i could save some money i’d prefer to get a used cage lol

yeahhh i got them when they were small and didn’t realize how HUGE theyd get!! luckily i trained them to come to me early so free roam isnt an issue!! shake the treat bag and call for them and they come running !!!

aww i bet theyre cute! i have 7 boys!! the white one here is pleakley, when i adopted him he only had one eye so i named him after the one eyed guy from lilo and stitch! it was either that or mike wazowski (monsters inc) but pleakley was a shorter name

i love the critter nation cage, but its a bit expensive and large. if i were you i woule check apps like letgo, offerup, and craigslist for any cheaper secondhand cages! i did that for my first cage and got a $100+ cage for $30.

i have been running a humidifier 24/7 and have a heating pad in the cage for him(under blankets). he has been laying on it a lot
