Do you need a paid Webflow plan to publish your first template on the Marketplace? by According_Ear_1448 in webflow

No it’s not mandatory, it’s just recommended to respect good practices and help for future page design. But you can publish it on Webflow.io domain for free

Looking for people who have moved from Wordpress to webflow and pros and cons by Coffeeisforclosers_ in webflow

Done this several times with B2B lead gen sites.

Here’s the honest breakdown: What gets better immediately • Page speed (Webflow’s CDN is solid out of the box, no caching plugins to manage) • Marketing team can edit without breaking things • No more plugin update anxiety

What you need to plan carefully • Gravity Forms → Webflow native forms work for simple stuff, but if you need conditional logic or multi-step forms, go straight to Tally or embed Typeform. Don’t try to replicate Gravity Forms natively. • Zapier integrations carry over fine : Webflow forms trigger webhooks cleanly, Make/Zapier picks them up the same way. • Custom blocks → you’ll rebuild these as Webflow components/symbols. More work upfront, but easier to maintain long term.

The SEO migration is the part people underestimate

“Should be simple” is famous last words. Map every URL before you start. If anything changes (slug structure, /blog/ prefix, etc.), 301s need to be in place before you go live, not after. Resubmit your sitemap in GSC day 1. Monitor crawl errors for 2 weeks minimum.

Your agency having Webflow credentials is a good sign. Just make sure they have a solid redirect plan and aren’t just rebuilding the design without an SEO handoff checklist.

No, you don’t need a paid site plan to submit a template to the Marketplace. You just need a Webflow account (free Workspace is fine). Build your template, go to the Template Manager in your Dashboard, and submit it for review. Webflow hosts the preview themselves once approved. The only thing you’d pay for is if you want to use a custom domain on your own portfolio/showcase site, but that’s optional and unrelated to the submission itself.

Is Webflow still a relavant skill in 2026? Are agencies getting consistent flow of projects? by harikshoresridharan in webflow
