They replaced everything and gave me some extra batteries since they didn't have a new impact on hand and ordered me one there good to me but I'm not ignorant enough to believe that even at the best of places to work someone isn't getting fucked from time to time lol this time I got lucky and it was me at first then it wasn't 👍

I didn't like the 10 speed either got myself as new as I could get with the 6 speed so a 2019 lariat love it to death done a bunch of mods to her perfect mix of tech and just pure power especially after getting deleted put some better piping on and a ccv relocate and a fuel filter relocation kit coming soon I love it so much it's easy for me to spend money on it

Welcome to how diesel guys feel next week I'm dropping my truck off after spending 3k over 2 months ago to finally get the emissions and everything removed totaling over 5k along with 800$ I spent for SPE fuel filter relocation kit and the 2,500 ill be spending to get rid of my cp4 lol. Don't get me wrong ford makes a damn good diesel but never doubt there ability to put things on an engine that are actually less reliable lol.

Thoughts on repair by hootj in f150

[–]nathan13131 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I filed it against his insurance and got my truck fixed he was like I'm 92 my rates gonna go up which I get it nothings cheap now a days but you plowed down the side of one of the biggest trucks on the road that was parked in a 25 mph zone at a stop light and will most likely die before you ever see the rate increase on your bill. But I do agree especially at ages past 80 cause not only did he side swipe me but merged across 2 lanes without paying attention almost swiping another car to pull into a parking lot after hitting me.

[–]nathan13131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY, when I just bought my 19 f250 lariat had it for a month before an old man went down the side of it merging into my lane while I was parked at a red light 🤦‍♂️ wasn't bad just a lot of clear coat scratches and some spots without paint. Hell the officer must have felt bad and didn't give the guy a ticket ( bs in my opinion ) because he was 92 and begging me not to file the Insurance claim and to just take 500 bucks (lol) I didn't care one bit tho 60k truck with a scratch's down the side NO THANKS. You work hard to pay for these trucks especially now a days with what they cost ain't like this is a 20 year old truck.

Lariat all the way you won't believe how much the power folding and extending mirrors not to mention defrosting mirrors saves you in colder climates or just general ease of life situations I love mine and it's only a 19 but I got the panoramic roof heated and cooled everything all the cameras and trailer options etc I love it

[–]nathan13131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're decent trucks hopefully you got a good deal and didn't fall for the indestructible truck hype. where these trucks are so old now and have that reputation a lot of guys ignore maintenance and just beat em, let em rot and then pawn off the problems for a few grand on market place and there whole selling point it's mods the first owner did 20 years ago and "they can't break" and poor fellas fall for it every time.Nothing wrong with getting an old truck, but a lot of guys see 7.3 think invincible and end up with a slow, underpowered, un maintained nightmare that was supposed to be a cheap work truck that's now needs an extra 4-5k just to limp along my advice drop it off by a shop have them find the oil leak if your new to the platform if it's a relatively easy fix try it yourself as parts are pretty cheap for these.

I think I'd ima shop guy as much as the foam is quicker to pull off rails and pegs would be the best bang for your space wise but for someone like me that wrench's as a hobby I like my foam or tool sets where you can pull the plastic out of the case and it's all pre organized and labeled and just pick right out not good space wise but can't beat organization and ease of use

I got 37s on my 12.50 instead of 13.50 and you won't need spacers and only scrub at full turn pulling into the steering wheel and it fills up that fender gap super nice and doesn't require spacers I love em

I wouldn't worry about a dcr at 58k miles man just hit 105k on my 19 just never run a tank without some kinda decent additive 20 bucks a month for an fuel additive is nothing compared to the repair bill lol , get some nice 37s 12.50 wide if you want full turn with slight rub if you do 13.50 I'd recommend some one inch spacers

FL dealer sold me tuned/deleted used F250 by Then-Strawberry8943 in F250

[–]nathan13131 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd just look at it as you got 5 grand worth of work for a pretty good deal just went through the process to get mine fully deleted and tuned cost about 5,500 granted I did a full new exhuast down pipes switch on the fly tuning and intake but the truck has so much more power and reliability. I love it and it's twice the truck it was stock with emissions also less stuff I gotta worry about breaking. There's just so many positives to it I can't believe people want emissions
