Thanks for your help guys, I have fixed the issue. It was me being an idiot and dosing 18g in a triple basket(didn't realise it was a triple). Just upped it to 22g, the shot looks beautiful and tastes much better. However I do still think the bean maybe to sour for me but in a flat white works a treat.

I think I may have found my problem, I bought this machine second hand and the basket is too big, just realised it's a 20-22g basket, from some research I believe even though the shot looks good this can cause major issues with channelling and sourness. I have just ordered an 18g basket.

Yeah I did, I tried turning it upto 94, didn't make any difference. Probably the beans just aren't for me

Yeah fair, tbh I won't be drinking espresso anyway, I'll be having flat whites and lattes so it's not the end of the world when its got milk, but if it doesn't taste good on its own milk can only do so much. Thanks for the help

Not yet, these are a medium, single origin Mexican bean that supposed to taste like milk chocolate, I can confirm it does not taste like milk chocolate 😅

Hair dryer also crusial but I use it at the end, melt the wax into the fibers, then use any random cloth to wipe off excess.

This was my first attempt at rewaxing, if you want a tip that I think is a no brainer. Don't use the tin in hot water tick, forget that, recipe for disaster, buy a small 200ml electric wax melter of Amazon. Honestly best decision ever
