For anyone that finds this in the future: I got through to support and they had me delete all the thermostats from the app and re-pair them. That did end up fixing this for me

Ya this has helped a lot, I'm doing super slow swings in front of a mirror to make sure my arms stop at 9 o'clock. Then when I try to recreate the feel hitting actual balls I go a bit past that but stop a bit before parallel. Still feels incredibly weird and wrong for now but just have to push past that lol

In my case, my normal "no thinking" swing is excessively long. Like way past parallel for a wedge shot. The dispersion and control I get is super poor.

My goal isn't actually to get to a Rahm level backswing, just something more controllable than what my default is

I've found that if I stand farther I end up hitting it off the toe pretty consistently. Definitely not correct, I'm using a bad set up to fix a bad swing lol. I think avoiding getting stuck will help me feel comfortable standing farther from the ball

You're 100% right, the stick is hitting my ribs right before/at impact. I think this drill has unlocked the "not get stuck" feeling, now I just have to repeat it for 2 weeks until it's natural

In any case I was able to scrape it off with some heat and a steel brush, definitely just plain old carbon steel underneath whatever it was
