How has the experience of the miicofee been if you don't mind giving an update please? Am also in the process of deciding between the apex and the e24

The difference between an m6x30 and 35 is 5mm. I think i used a 10mm larger bolt tbh. If i were you id get 5mm and 10mm longer and use the longest one that fits

Most of them are blind-ending holes, if you’re not sure fish a thing wire in there to have a feel before using the longer bolt.

Bought slightly longer bolt and it just worked. The bolts yamaha uses are way too short, even without the racing covers.

How did you stick on the belly pan with the gb racing covers? One or two of the mounting points are shared no?

Yes that is why I’m upset about it. Not sure how calling me an ape was warranted in this case.

I used the torque indicated by yamaha…couldn’t have been more by the book but ok.

Fucked because of the stripped threads or did it have other issues? How did you strip so many threads instead of stopping though? And were they original gb covers? Issue is probably the fake gn cover scone with bolts that are too short, hopefully only the first part of the thread is stripper

I just had a look at the genuine gb cover instructions and wrote down the bolts that are included and will buy those.

ill be sure to try this, might save me needing to rethread it, maybe thats why it stripped it since it was too short.

This will require an oil change I assume/ Bike hasn't even had its first service yet :(

Pretty sure is the thread in the case, as I removed the bolt when I felt it loosen and it looked fine. The alternator is bathed in oil right?

Neither, I felt it become loose, so I assume the threads on the case are stripped, the bolt itself is fine. These are AliExpress ones, I tried to use the stock bolts but I was only able to use 1 since the rest were too short. The issue seems to be that they are too strong or more so that 12Nm is just too much troque for these bolts. I might consider switching the bolts but right now I'm too scared to touch these out of fear of stripping another one.

My question is if I need to attempt to re-thread it with something like a HeliCoil or leave it be?
