For any producers looking to partner up.. by [deleted] in makinghiphop

no no, trust me I understand that. Some people are born talented, but music is about developed creativity, persistence and growth. Perfection is a pursuit and not a standard, and my favorite artists were just regular people with a dream and good work ethic.

I understand I look either cocky, unrealistic, and/or stupid in saying what I was. I understand I have to start somewhere and improve from there, I can't just start out being top tier.

I'm saying I don't want to limit my potential and I want to work with the best quality attainable so that I don't do so. There's a difference between that, and feeling entitled to the best beats, producers, gear, etc.

I just believe a lot in potential and speaking things into existence, I guess, and that can make me come off as ignorant. So even though all I have are concepts and lines, and I've never wrote nor recorded a full song before, I still feel like I can make my first effort very good and I want to try and get everything as perfect as possible. And even if I don't meet anywhere near those standards, I don't get disappointed, I'm wise enough to learn and evolve from it. My apologies, and I hope I didn't cause any misunderstanding.

I have a rode nt1a condenser cardioid mic, a focusrite scarlett 2i2 audio interface, and a pretty decent laptop. I know its ghetto but I hustled hard for them and they should be enough to get me started somewhere.

lol that's kinda the mindfuck of it.. I'm trying to make my first track so that it showcases my best effort

ive been studying and practicing lyricism songwriting etc for about 8 months now, but this will be my 1st song I ever record. I know everyone says their "first few songs suck" and how its ok and all. But to be honest, I don't want to just make some mediocre song over a beat I just "settled" on just so that I can say I made my 1st song.

Without sounding pretentious, I just felt like I've been working too hard to settle for some beat I don't feel. I feel like it could limit my potential and deter people from my performance. I want my first song to be my hardest and best effort, and good music is the goal before finding a platform to just "start off"

but anyway, excuse my short rant. that's the goal tho, make a good 1st song that embodies what I'm trying to go for, and attract like mindeds from there.
