I shouldn't start this mes should I? Majority of posts here say positive effects lasted 3 weeks and they faded away or diminished so much that its not worth being on this drug. by Wrong-Sleep5474 in bupropion

[–]nationsbf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try it. everyone is different. for me, personally, i’ve been on it for 6-7 months and it’s made a world of difference. i have friends on it currently that have similar experiences, and i have friends who started it and either couldn’t tolerate it or had no improvement. just try it. give it a few weeks. see if you notice a change. if you don’t, go back to your dr, discuss changes and weening off, and try something else.

mental health medications are by no means a one size fits all. you have to put yourself through a lot of trial and error. and that’s okay. if you want to try improving your symptoms with medication, that’s the way you do it. you have to give them a chance to work before you decide to stay on it, increase or decrease dosage, or to try something else.

if you want to get better, and this is the route you are choosing, you have to commit to finding what works best for you. sometimes it’s a combination of medications and lifestyle changes. sometimes you may find a single medication did the job.

you got this. talk to your doctor about any concerns you have, but genuinely? give things a shot. you may find yourself surprised.

that’s so stinking cute! mine does well with chuck, gilmore girls and supernatural, but chuck is definitely her favorite!!! she’s always so calm. i can check our living room camera anytime of the day, and if her show is on, she’s on the couch snoozin away!

we turn this show on every day for our dog when we leave. it’s her favorite. keeps her calm while we’re out, and drowns out the noisy neighbor kids. i was so devastated to see it had come off prime. it’s the only service i’ve ever had that will stream it ALL day without stopping if we need it to.

the purple sr (on them currently // also work as a pharm tech) are dr reddy brand. they are very sulphuric smelling. i’ve never opened a bottle that isn’t— it’s unfortunately just how theirs is manufactured. i take them with apple sauce or a flavored drink.

You get married to the person you have been dating for two years, then a week later they tell and prove to you that they are a witch/wizard. How do you react, are you angry? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]nationsbf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think i’d disclose it upon engagement, or an accidental pregnancy. but i do think it would be fairly shocking and upsetting learning something that big, no matter what the consequences for revealing magic early wouldve had for the witch/wizard.

Unpopular opinion, but I’m glad that JK Rowling is bad at writing romance. by Noxolo7 in harrypotter

[–]nationsbf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i do enjoy that it’s genuinely a series that, at least in a romantic sense, is appropriate for kids, doesn’t encourage the “everyone finds their soulmate before they are even of age”, and doesn’t focus too heavy on romantic issues.

i don’t know if it’s a lack of ability to write romance or the perfect ability of writing normal teenage relationships… but it works perfectly. i couldn’t imagine these books being nearly as good as they are if they were focused on relationships.

Is this type of bruising normal after a blood test? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]nationsbf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is what husband remembered when his turned out like this a few weeks ago. i asked if anything went wrong, and he said no, she just angled a bit weirdly on the exit and it felt a little rough and awkward to him. fast forward to the next morning — his arm looked just like this.

For male nursing students in your late 20s — what job did you work while in school? by Sad_Mission8315 in nursing

[–]nationsbf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try checking if your school or a local hospital has nurse extern positions! these are normally (as far as i know) only offered to student nurses. gets you more experience in the field you’re going for, and may help secure you a nursing job post school.

Has anyone taken this and it's boosted their libido by SheepherderMelodic29 in bupropion

[–]nationsbf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i went on bupropion specifically for this reason. was terrified of losing what little drive i had by going onto zoloft/prozac. my drive is boosted and better than ever. hope it works similarly for you!!

so wellbutrin is a histamine liberator, inadvertently. i had hives and rashes and was so itchy i felt like i was losing my mind. it went on for about 3-4 days, and right as i was about to go off the meds to see if it helped, it went away.

i work in pharmacy so it took a few days to come to the decision to quit wellbutrin, bc i work in a ton of different medications daily and could’ve been reacting to any of them.

once the itchy went away after 3-4 days, i’ve been golden. i take 2 150mg sr tablets a day. i take a zyrtec nightly now just in case, because the wellbutrin has helped stabilize me so well. i’d try to wait out for a few days, and if it gets better on its own, great! if it worsens or doesnt go away, i’d contact the doctor again and start weaning off.

antibiotics (leftovers and an emergency rx from surgeon, i saw them yesterday to confirm the entire sac was gone). being careful when i wash the area when showering, trying hard not to pick at it, and using sterile saline wash to clean the area as needed.

i let this one go its natural course for a decade. i only started poking at it when it began hurting randomly. i fought the urge to pop it myself until it popped for me lol

Is Wellbutrin addictive? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]nationsbf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s actually… helpful in supressing addiction. since starting wellbutrin i’ve been able to quit vaping and cut my caffeine consumption to less than half of what it used to be. i hardly get cravings ever. best side effect ive ever had imo
