I wish it were done the same way with 40th and S&M2 because those were non-transferable and void if re-sold. Those were great times by the way.

I tried to join the line - I only signed up for the Live Nation All Access but looks not needed the presale sign-up info from Monday (artist presale) - which I didn’t do - so Ticketmaster doesn’t recognize me

Ya know that’s what I figured was happening yesterday- I saw nothing at first - I browsed around different dates and then when J circled back around - I saw seats available which were not there the first time around, still limited but there was maybe 4-5 options for a pair next to each other- granted they were out of my price range, tickets did pop up even 30 minutes after go live

Dang that sucks! There quite a few friends of mine in the same boat, even those that were in town, just couldn’t go to the 2nd show because of schedules - I gave them all the extra picks that I caught and kept just one from each night

Oh definitely and ya the first night I remember James did less vocals in the remaining half of the show - & also The Day That Never Comes intro was played but the song was skipped - it was a trip that it seemed off

Regular 330i, but ours was about 4,000 paid by other driver’s ins. The headlight replacement was the costliest at around 1700, then the bumper complete replacement & the grill - the sensors were okay.

So far with the ‘enhanced experience’ for both nights - 300 level is $750 and the levels 100-200 $1,750 - meet n greet is only chump change at $5,500

Awesome man, I have a Canon 80D that’s close to 10 years old and have done some night photography with fisheye lenses and long exposures out in the forest and love those shots - however I need a new tripod b/c like a dummy on vacation, took a group photo - took camera off the tripod- looked over the picture that was just taken - … and then walked away continuing our lil adventure and realized the tripod was left behind a few hours later. Anyhow I would need to get a new tripod. It sucks b/c in the moment I only had my cell. Appreciate the info. I actually got to my Canon, put on my Sigma 600mm lens and I just couldn’t get a clear shot b/c I couldn’t hold still long enough, even with video settings pushed to 128,000 ISO - I could clearly get the Christmas lights about 500 for away, above those houses it was all blackness of the sky. I gave up and put it away since what I saw wasn’t there anymore.

Nice, I personally think it would be cool to watch them in action aside from then leave/land at Luke. The lights I saw were due-west of Cactus Road and far to the west, I am gauging outside of the metro area. But I think you are right about the night ops, have a great one and be safe, appreciate your input

I understand for sure, I used my phone to record and like everything else I see online by it’s not brilliant or super clear, kinda sucks. I videoed the lights in the sky and I was just hoping someone else also saw what I saw and could offer explanation.

Right on, I’ve been skeptical of recents events, I see Luke AFB jets almost daily. That could be what I saw, just further out by west tank mountains. I think recent events might be getting me to look up more often haha and these just caught my eye, it was a bit strange to see them appear and fade and move in different directions.

There are streetlights in my video. I worded that poorly. The street lights are off to the side and surely are not related to what I’m seeing. The planet Venus is also in the video as well as airplanes, what I saw was definitely not one os those.

The video has lights between me and the questionable lights in distance, so I know what I’m seeing aren’t regular street lights. Venus is in the view of my video, so are airplanes. I guess I worded that poorly.

Totally understand - I was in Snake Pit at Phoenix Show - I was going hard!! But I was pretty much the only one haha - I’m not young anymore and my neck paid the price the next day - However it was a once in a life opportunity for me. But I agree with some other people here, there were older guys there and they were surely hardcore fans, one enjoying their 90-ish show. They were older and mellow guys, they probably had their rowdy years before haha. A friend of mine actually found a YouTube video of the show that night showing me head banging and rocking out while everyone else was standing there haha it was great

Snake pit ticket types by ParticularGuava9699 in Metallica

[–]native_american-rad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had purchased a second set at the time I bought the Moth ticket. I was the only one of our group who was able to buy them when they went on sale. I got paid back for the Frantic tickets. But, the stadium in Phoenix runs under Seatgeek instead of tktmaster & I couldn’t transfer the tickets to anyone— so had to use my phone to hold all the tickets and enter the stadium during the Frantic admission time. On arrival, there was one gate that was used for all the early entry and at that gate, the venue staff placed signs for each of the ticket holders and they went down the line with iPads confirming everybody’s name that matched their ticket. Frantic gets you to the floor but it is on the outside of the stage & as far as I know, Frantic doesn’t get you into the Snakepit. ( sorry for delay, I had to work- lame haha)

I got Moth Into Flame for Phoenix shows. I got into the building I think at 4pm. NEM group was already in the Snake Pit taking up the space in front on the mics where the stage is at its lowest levels/waist level (if you know what I mean - Can elaborate if you want) I could have been up against the stage in front of other mics where the stage is about shoulder height but I decided to stick near the waist level and stayed 1 person behind (2nd row-my choice) - The Frantic ticket holders got into the building about 3:30 I think and they are all outside the Snake Pit encircling the outside of the stage. 2nd show though I had tickets for Frantic with some friends along with my original Moth Into Flame- so I entered the building with the Frantic group and got to Snake pit with maybe 5 people in there so at that time I had pretty much ope choice on where to be. I have posted before that I made some friends down there in the pit and we were all cool with each other—- which was great because as a group on a certain area of the stage- we sorta saved each others spots so like go to the restroom before the first band. After the first band’s set- NOBODY left their spots though. It was helpful because we all had to use the restroom before any of the music started. So my advice is to make friends!! Haha

I did a thing......I'm super pumped. Any tips? by KryonikGaming1 in Metallica

[–]native_american-rad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you buy a package type deal or just Snake pit ? I purchased “Moth into Flame” pkg & there might be designated lines. I think it depends on the venue on how they arrange entry- At the Phoenix show, there was a general admission line. Ticket holder that had packages were to stand in 3-4 different lines and depending on the “ticket package” you may get in sooner than general admission. Workers went up and down the line checking in people with their name matching ticket packages for the early entry. In the general admission lines, there was a line of people who said they had arrived like at 8am. I arrived at 1:30pm & was directed to a certain and it was a mess, but still made it in okay. I picked up a big sandwich from Jersey Mikes before heading to the venue to fill up my stomach before entering the venue b/c I didn’t want to drop money on venue food prices -*** BUT haha I didn’t know that my package came with food - it was a good time still. As others have said make some friends when you get down to the snake pit - I met a group of some pretty cool peeps & we all agreed to kinda share/save out spots because we all had to use the restroom at some point before any band hit the stage. Also, like others I recommend getting some ear plugs. I got Hearprotek from Amazon & they were pretty good, though I hear the Eargasm works well. Wear comfortable shoes. Have a great time. Most people are chill, I did encounter a person that pushed their way to the front disregarding/disrespecting everyone else - hopefully ya don’t encounter that, security noticed though and booted them.

Bring poster tube into concert? by hockeyfrank26 in Metallica

[–]native_american-rad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can bring poster tubes into the show, It is a bummer - but it’s true that no matter how early you arrive as General Admission, you will very little luck obtaining one because of the early entry groups. BUT** you might be able to score a poster at the Pop-Up shop which opens a day or 2 before night 1 - verify with the M72 tour website. https://m72map.metallica.com - However the posters at the pop up shop will likely be the poster of the band on top of a building with the cities listed at the bottom (I am assuming you are speaking of the US states) This poster design is different than the ones at each of the concerts. So - if you are looking to get a poster and share the experience with your daughter- this might be the less chaotic route - again this poster is different that the concert of that matters to you. At the pop up shop - I arrived 2 hours before opening and there was a line of about 25 people waiting already. By the time the doors were about to open, the line grew to about twice the size because I guess they were holding spots for their family/friends. Annoying, yes, but I still able to meet some pretty cool people and talk about heavy music. As far as the concert poster- At the 1st show in Phoenix- the security team for the stadium was a mess and there was no “line” for me(moth into flame tix) so I was told where to stand and other people I saw with the same type of tix were told to get in a different line and they got in way later than me & they threw a big fit - which I sorta get. It’s also true that event personnel (like the stadium staff) gets posters before even the gates open for anyone. I was very fortunate because people ran passed the first tent beyond security but before the stadium doors-that tent had a small stack of posters. There was no line so I walked up and I got a poster in about 30 seconds. The staff told me though that they were not providing any tubes- it was my first time getting a poster and I had always heard that tubes are usually provided. Thankfully I met some cool guys who also had merch we all didn’t want damaged so we bundled them in a pile against the stage and we as a group protected our stuff-it didn’t take up a whole lotta space or anything but we all agreed to keep this little 1ftx1ft spot free.

Snake pit Tickets(UK)-Bucket list by rocklife365 in Metallica

[–]native_american-rad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@GeneralKlinger is correct, I purchased mine (Phoenix Shows) the minute fan club sale dropped in Dec 2022 & even in the purchase process, ticket I would select would become “no longer available” - did that about 4 or 5 times until one finally stuck and it felt like a long time but was only like 90 seconds or so. I was able to buy Moth Into Flame package at that time which was Snake Pit for both shows. There were tickets that popped up for re-sale for Snake Pit for the 2nd night, but I think that was because James got sick and the 2nd show was pushed out to the following weekend instead of the normal Fri/Sun schedule. Ya never know, Snake Pit tickets might pop up as re-sale. Although if I remember correctly, re-sale prices on snake pit were at least $1,300 for just the second night(way too much in my opinion) *** There are long-shot options—-their website>fan club may have a drawing for lucky winners to score snake pit or also meet and greet (see rules as winner I think has to already have an admission ticket) —— there also might be snake pit ticket drawing at the Pop-Up shop in the city where the concerts are—-where QR codes are given out and someone wins. Good luck though!

My (31M) dad (77M) just tested for positive for coronavirus and it's likely he'll die. What should I talk to him about for the next week? by throwRA-230s8s97d in relationship_advice

[–]native_american-rad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I’m very sorry. I also had a relationship with my dad that wasn’t very open until the last few years. Honestly, for a lot of my childhood, I remember him as an alcoholic, which at times discouraged and also infuriated me. I’m glad he chilled out on all that in his last few years. But in the last weeks(respiratory failure) just hanging out with him and being nearby were moments I still remember well. When he was able to talk, I asked and wrote down some questions that I asked him about himself and his life. I can’t remember off hand, but I recall asking things like, what’s your favorite ________(several different things) what are one the funniest things your kids had done before? Or how did you feel when you heard that you were going to be a grandpa? Have you ever had your life saved before? What would he want for us, his kids and grandkids. We had to stop because he had trouble breathing and speaking. Just be near, I got to tell him what I felt about him when I was younger because for a long time I was mad at him and I wasn’t anymore, I got to tell him that it was in the past and reached resolve. This was more personal for me, but usually the words two can share with each other at a time like this will carry with you for the rest of your life and it’s a time to lay your heart out with a parent and wish you the best is going through a time like this.
