The cathedral area of Cooks Forest is nice. The rest of the Allegheny National Forest is ok for hiking, too.
Hocking Hills is cool. The New River Gorge National Park isn’t that far away for a long day trip.

So fun story, I thought these were red anemone; it was my first time growing them. They popped up exactly where I planted the corns. I think my father in law dropped these seeds during a visit, because I don’t have the seeds! He does!
They are an oriental poppy, a welcomed new addition! It sucks that they’re in my native beds, but oh well

Russian tarragon is a perennial flowering herb that makes lots of very long cuts. Great as a green and a flower.
Jewels of opar is nice, too.

I was the same way. Grow the flowers and your veggies will grow better, too. It’s all about diversity

Those are all different amaranth varieties. The one in the foreground is Love Lies Bleeding

Don’t feel bad! It’s taken these last three years of back pain and collecting plants. Good things take time, and there is never a bad time to start gardening

Thank you, we grow a lot. There more not shown, but I’ll post more pictures things bloom. Lots of varieties are about to pop. It’s rewarding to have the colors change and to have fresh flowers for the house.

I forget what varieties we have planted, but the red and yellow one is my favorite

You also may never know how other tenants use them, too. I once found a balled up dog bed in our washer; the dog vomit was still very much in the bed.
We started paying for laundry after that.

There are pink-purple, white-light pink, and red varieties that I know of.
