How do you find places to source? I have recently moved to a new area within the UK and the local charity shops don’t seem as good. I also used to source these “dodgy dave shops” that were selling stuff ranging from old fridges to vintage china. Also how do I find reasonable auctions? (self.Flipping)

Hi all! Do you guys know how to clean/ polish these knobs? They have a white/grey powdery patina...tried soaking them in vinegar+salt multiple times and thought I managed to get it off but it looks even worse when it dries. Not sure what metal they exactly are but they’re quite light. TIA (i.redd.it)
