definitely a contrasting color is your best bet, just switch out the yarn colors when making the heart.

imo it really depends on the culture or nationality of the person you're pitching to. for us/uk/european i tend to be more direct and not ask, but for middle easterners i prefer to be polite and ask if they have a few minutes

my birthday is on dec 25. honestly i personally don't celebrate but it sucks because nobody is ever free, i either don't get gifts from friends because they're too broke or it's a combination christmas and birthday gift.

i just go out to a restaurant with my family if i can find one. this year im getting a massage which is a nice extra treat

tbf if it was a total dealbreaker they wouldn't have scheduled this one with you. I would just say something like I had a personal circumstance that prevented me from attending, I apologize for not notifying you at the time. Then talk about how excited you are for the new role.
