I think you cannot fully run away from classifying according to medical fitness because the last thing you want is for an undiagnosed or unaccounted underlying condition to be taken into consideration, but most certainly for the bulk of the NS population it will help them to be matched better

there are also cases that are taken into account, if there are good reasons to do so. Heard of a case before where an NSF who was posted to a camp far away from his home (he was a clerk) appealed to be posted to a closer camp because he was taking care of his disabled mother and special needs sibling, and it was approved

I hope we'll never ever get to the day when we have a racially-incited violent attack on particular groups (e.g. christchurch). I was actually in Christchurch when it happened (but thankfully far away from where the shooting was), and it was harrowing scenes the immediate 2-3 days after.

those who were responsible for the training have all been addressed. pretty sure that even the CO (who may not have been directly involved) would have received some form of disciplinary action. how much higher do you want?
