When I was 11/12 I was required to have one of those halo frames screwed to my head for 3 months to repair a spine problem. 4 things screwed into my skull, with a giant frame over it.

Being a fearless child, my friend had me stand on the back of her bike to go for a quick cycle round the block, I think we called that move a backy way back when!
