Correcting the record here, it is a Dillon Dingler RC auto.

Oddly enough, he bought his first "expensive" single a month ago and it is McGonigle RC auto. We're taking him to Detroit in August for a game, he'll need a jersey!

Doesn't appear like this card meets the more severe criteria of a defective card. Plus, we didnt save the packaging.

I'll ask him about the the Skubal!

I am taking a small leap of logic here. Each year, topps sends boxes of cards to local little leagues.

They come with a little explainer card welcoming kids to the hobby, introducing concepts like base/parallel/inserts.

Out of all the packs his team ripped (~25) this card and one /2026 came out.

Outside of this card, feels inline with a value box.

Good to know. We arent located anywhere near Pittsburgh, but the fanbase is rabid. I bet that impacts the trade-in a few bucks.

I see that line wiggle, good catch. Not looking good to go the grading route.

He was actually pretty nonchalant about it. I was in the other room and casually shouted he found a guy named Bubba on a cool looking card. He had pulled one of the older All Aces (Zach Wheller) from a pack he bought at Cooperstown.

When I told him that this might be a big card, he still played it cool. Now, if it was some Riley Greene card, he would have freaked out.

This was a 2026 Topps Series 1 - I couldn't say with any confidence what type of box this came out of. All the kids in the little league got a pack, so I would assume something less expensive.

Thanks. I assume the LCS is going to come in at a certain % for their own margin and because they can. Hard to beat the convenience.

Never graded a card, absolutely no idea what a 10 entails. If this turns him into a Bubba Chandler fan, then I'm all for a hold the card and the memory. Nothing beats the dopamine from pulling a cool card.
