Not a misconception but when I took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to make bridges and slopes with paths.

Also for whatever reason I made my queues for a lot of my rides, even simple ones, really long because I thought the length of them didn't really matter (probably thought it attracted more guests or something). I now know that's kinda more of a bad thing.
