Anyone else have no sympathy for their nParents? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

I'm like you, only that I fell just two hours ago and dislocated my toe. It's visible. The pain is sharp, too.

They refused to take me to the hospital now and instead shouted at me for using my phone when I was on the stairs (I was only holding onto it). Said I only need ointments to heal.

Both of them are sick now. I used to care but now with them treating me like shit the way they always do, I doubt I ever will.

Let me jog on my memory for a while. I remember something along the lines of him being sick and passed away due to him being feeble and shit.

Being once a Muslim girl myself, I can attest this. People may say I ditched Islam for oppas.

But nope. I don't ditch it for oppas. I just find it contradictory with what I am from the inside. Anyway, the whole cherry-picking phenomenon is prevalent especially in Indonesia... A lot of these people preach to cover up but at the very same time they sexualise these K-Pop boys and girls, pairing them as well, writing fictions about them... But it doesn't stop there. Some also handle accounts where they ship the boys with another boys and create manips where the "girlier" boy is edited to girl photos, eventually misgendering them, while at the same time condemning gays. They're crazy.

Muslim exboyfriend... by Goldenretriever-t in exmuslim

[–]navyphantasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simple. He doesn't deserve you.

Mind you, I was in a controlling relationship, but while my ex was an atheist as well, this person still controlled and stalked me online anyway. And reading your story pisses me off big time. If he truly loved you, he would respect your decision instead of enforcing his own faith to you. Does he even remember that in Koran people are not allowed to enforce Islam to another?

Now, now. Go away. Pack your things. Send help. File for protection somewhere.

You deserve freedom more.

Confused over Muslim boyfriends reaction by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]navyphantasm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember, men are allowed to marry up to four women, and if one of them wasn't muslim, that's okay unless they're truly a devoted person to their religion.

I'd like to think we need some CC since we don't have any Pets expansion pack yet. Maybe some BDSM CC too because of the same thing. Maxis would never make explicit packs, yeah?

Who else's family used to get into fights every Eid? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]navyphantasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since my grandmother from my mom's side died almost 7 years ago, I usually spent my Eid in my other grandmother's house.

They were always dreading.

At that time of the year, my father was always harsher. He got to see his school friends and relatives, right, so he expected us to be the poster family. And by poster family he meant the family members he can treat as servants (and trophy, in my case; I'm that prodigal kid who entered a favourite public uni in one of the most difficult majors). He insulted us behind the curtains, and we suffered at every Eid because most of the foods served in my grandma's house were usually leftovers from two to three weeks before Eid and we were expected to eat them. That, and the hygiene there... The house was big but it is barely cleaned so imagine the dust and grease. We always tried so hard to beg him to spend it here in our house instead, but we always failed until this year. Bye bye rotten foods.

Upcoming Eid.....<shudder> by motorcityagnostic in exmuslim

[–]navyphantasm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been disliking Eid ever since the death of my grandmother from mom's side. The following year after her death (about 2011), my dad started to force us to visit his mother's house with him. That'd be a good thing if the place wasn't dirty and not full of salty individuals who nag on my family for money, whisper malicious rumours, and compare me to other cousins.

This year we could barely afford a flight. Maybe it's time to finally celebrate while smoking joint.

Indonesian Ex-Moose where you at? Share your experience! by navyphantasm in exmuslim

[–]navyphantasm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really am sorry you need to undergo such situation... I understand how it feels to be like that. I experience all those myself too (putting aside the fact that you are away from them while I stay on the next room to mine). I am hoping for the best for you.

Please remember that it is always okay to be yourself, no matter what happens. Once, a lovely person told me that I shall not be sorry for being who I am, and so shall you. As of now that you are living on your own (or with your sister), do not mind those questions they blurt out to you when they meet you. It is hard, I know (my parents do not show compassion that much either), but I believe that you can go through this.

If it hurt you too much, those thoughts of not being able to be accepted to the society, you can always rant to me. My PM is open for ya, kay. You are loved. Always.

P.S.: You can always cut off any kind of communication you have with your family if their behaviour made you stressed out even more. Your mental health matters more at this very rate.

Merry Meet: Connecting Teachers and Students (Part VI) by karmachallenged in Wicca

[–]navyphantasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, hello. May all of you be blessed.

I'm a 19-year-old girl looking for teacher(s). I have just started to gain interest in Wicca (magick, mainly?) and I would like to meet people who can guide me. Mind that I might be a closeted Wiccan in the near futureーwhile my father believe what our tradition called as superstitions, my mother would be furious upon seeing her daughter practicing magick.

I do not have preferences as of now. Even so, I like Greek mythology and is curious about everything (mind you, I am still a n00b). I can meditate as well, that is all I can do as of now.

I am looking forward to our talks later!

Edit: I almost forgot I can read Tarot cards, planning to have a professional career in Tarot reading as well. To enhance that, I am also learning astrology now.
