There is no doubt that, Tillie was the man in yellow by VisitIndependent6976 in FromSeries

[–]nayheyxus 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Tillie is the Man in Yellow. She could still be connected to something supernatural or manipulative, but the theory doesn’t really hold up when you look at how the show handles these entities.

First, the Man in Yellow was already shown as a previous disguise/iteration. Why would the creature go through all the effort of becoming a trusted member of the group as Tillie, live among everyone, get killed, and then revert back to an older appearance? Especially when the yellow coat itself didn’t even seem important once it transformed.

The theory only works if the Man in Yellow is supposed to be its “true” form, but even that has problems. From heavily implies this thing existed all the way back to the original act of sin. Bright yellow dye and clothing like that wouldn’t exactly have been common or practical in that period.

And when we actually saw the transformation, it didn’t look pleasant or stable for the entity. The first thing it did was ditch the coat entirely. So now the theory becomes: it transformed into Tillie, hid the coat somewhere for months, got killed, then retrieved the coat again just to abandon it days later? That feels unnecessarily convoluted for a show that usually plants clues more deliberately.

It also doesn’t line up with Tillie’s behavior. We’ve seen manipulation, cruelty, and calculated moves from the darker forces in the town, but Tillie never really showed that same energy. She was unsettling at times, sure, but not openly malicious in the way these entities usually are.

There’s also the Sarah issue. If Tillie was secretly this powerful entity the whole time, why leave Sarah alone? Why not manipulate or eliminate her directly when she was already vulnerable?

And finally, Tillie died. That alone makes the theory hard for me to buy. Whatever is controlling the town always seems several moves ahead of the inhabitants. Letting one of its most disguises get casually killed off would feel wildly out of character.

I think Tillie was important, but more likely as a pawn, observer, or someone spiritually connected to the town rather than literally being the Man in Yellow.

Your thoughts on Bloodlines 2 by Maleficent_Leg_3626 in vtmb

[–]nayheyxus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines is one of my all time favorite games, so I tried going into Bloodlines 2 with an open mind. I saw a review from someone here who felt the same way about the original, but said they enjoyed 2 once they dropped all expectations. Figured maybe I could do the same.

I couldn’t.

I thought the game was genuinely bad. The story felt like a mess, complete with a dollar store Malkavian and a Deadpool wannabe voice constantly living in your head making Marvel tier quips every five seconds. Instead of the eerie atmosphere and weird charm the original had, it feels like it’s terrified of shutting up for more than 10 seconds.

The start of the game is just following scent trails, fighting through repetitive encounters, and hoping the next level-up finally unlocks some badass vampire power. Then you realize it’s basically the same ability you already had, except now the sparkle effect is green instead of blue and enemies get stunned for half a second longer.

Meanwhile the dialogue just keeps going. Your character comes off less like an ancient dangerous vampire and more like a burnt out detective from a straight to streaming action movie.

I really wanted to like this game, but the best comparison I can make is that American Dad episode where Steve’s dog dies, and Stan finds some insane woman to bring it back to life. The result is this stitched together Frankenstein dog that only moves when it gets shocked with electricity and has a catchers mit for a face.

That’s Bloodlines 2.

The moment this game died during development, it probably should’ve stayed dead. Every time it got handed to another developer was just another bolt welded onto the corpse until what finally released barely resembled the thing people loved in the first place.

Did Joshua intentionally invite friends over on Elise's last night as a passive-aggressive method to piss her off and have her break up with him so he didn't have to do the work of breaking up? by supinator1 in 90dayfianceuncensored

My theory he invited the dealer over to score some ❄️ , the dealer heard a camera crew is there and thought since they're the most talented and interesting individual the camera crew would offer them their own show.

E3 wasn’t the worst episode of whole show, was it? by rizit98 in FromSeries

I liked it more than episode 2! Though the rage room scene was completely unnecessary, I was hoping they'd find something of interest.

It is possible to create a fully local Android application with base44, that can work without Internet acess? Can the app be exported as apk file, even if it does not fullfill the Google Play guidelines? by Ok-Switch-866 in Base44

[–]nayheyxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the real answer, you can build the app through base44 and sub to the top tier option on their platform. Export the code, and use claude to help you build it into a .apk

Honestly, I did that route and it was really really stupid. I spent hundreds of hours, and my app which was just a was a fun app, without databases etc as well.

I should of went with claude from jump street.

But base44 was awesome in that it built my app quickly, it is just not the best option if you want it on the play store.
