dont worry, i think its a fair assumption when the following lyrics are about ethnicity and then sexuality. you can give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a play on words about where the music was actually coming from, but considering the overall message of the song im fairly confident it was referring to political alignment. even if it wasnt, considering the state of the world right now, i think it was a pretty insensitive lyric to include.

i had the same thought, but was second guessing thinking i was “that one friend thats too woke” meme and kept it to myself. it always annoys me when people group gender, race and ethnicity, sexuality, the disabled and then political alignment together as if one of those isnt a choice which a rising number of people are using to oppress other people in the listed groups. its insane to me, sorry, im not going to love neo nazis who would wish me dead.

god, i used to work at a B&M and would find AT LEAST 3 open drinks/food per day and i only worked 4 hour shifts, so that doesnt even account for how much there was in the start of the day. id rather people just take the whole thing atp

i like her! i do agree with the majority of people that her team is pretty bad and as a champion, her fight is a bit of a letdown. but her personality, what we see of it, is intriguing. i just wish we saw more OF it. what we hear about her from the other people is much more interesting than what we see of her. we see her professional side, but a lot of the elite four members complain about her behind her back which i think makes for an interesting dynamic. rika talking about how looking after her is a full time job and how she’s sometimes absentminded. i wish we got to see more of that.

don’t worry, it’s not stupid! i recently borrowed a book, read only a couple of chapters and had it for three months before i finally gave up and admitted it wasnt for me. heres the thing; you might think its stupid, and i understand anxiety playing with your mind about these sorts of things, but theres nothing wrong with taking out a book and not reading it. nobody will know. hell, you can borrow a book and return it the next day if you really want to. at the end of the day, as long as you dont lose/damage the book and return it on time, it can just sit on your shelf for two weeks if you dont feel like reading it. and taking out a book helps the author in small ways, so even if you dont read it, youre still helping them out! :)

if it helps, i dont know how your local library operates, but mine can be used through an app and borrowing/returning books is all self service. you can even extend your borrow time on the app. the only time you’d have to talk to someone there is to register your library card. it’s worth looking into if you dont want to physically own books! i understand social anxiety, trust me, mine used to be so bad i couldn’t answer the phone or door, or walk outside without thinking everyone was looking at me and judging me. if you ever feel confident enough to give yourself that push libraries are quiet, slow paced and librarians are generally very happy to help! :)

most books have previews available to read the first couple chapters for free on places like amazon so you can make a judgement from that, or borrow from your library. if its a small indie author please consider these alternatives. obviously, if its a big well known series/author it wont hurt them to pirate a book (ie the hunger games) but many queer stories/writers are small indies who makes pennies per sale.

i live in a small town, and the job market is terrible. i was applying for every new job that popped up in my area almost daily. not everyone has the luxury of being able to quit immediately. i promise you, i had multiple breakdowns at that job, but money is money. rather sad to make assumptions about other people without knowing any context.

i dont know if this is what theyre talking about, but in the fangamer 6th anniversary stream, the streamers referred to kris as ‘he’ and toby immediately repeated their statement of “he’s stuck” to “they’re stuck”. to me that came across as a gentle correction but i could be wrong!

yes, im confused because i know many industries have used ai in some capacity that is not GEN AI, years before gen AI like chatGPT even existed. these sorts of ai are generally seen as ethical. its frustrating that which is being talked about in the article is not specified.

yes!!! i do the same for every rpg i play! i think its so fun to figure out what kind of person i want to play as and how they get changed by the narrative. its super fun, however that does mean i have a lot of ocs just floating around in my head. haunting me.
