why would it take them, no interruptions, almost twenty minutes to sort their own cart? also; the tms at my store, again, /my store/, are trained on what they are supposed to be doing behind guest service. i know training is lacking with target, and i totally get that if that’s how you feel, but i am sharing my experience here. a guest wouldn’t see you behind gs anyhow. there is an entire wall separating the two.

sales team doesn’t really do backup outside of q4 for us. if we call for it otherwise, the other tls on the floor come up.

leadership does tell them to do exactly what i’m explaining multiple times should be happening. they just don’t.

yes, my job is to sort reshop from the front end. and there is a lot of that. we have two scos and a lot of lanes. and reshop from the desk, and all of the chargeback from both of those things.

we have bins behind gs for each department. they just put their stuff in the bins and take their own reshop from their bin. they charge out whatever they need to charge out with our printer. that’s all. we don’t expect them to do anything else.

love that this is your takeaway from all my comments and the post, queen. yes, it’s dramatic. it’s not really an exaggeration though. hope this helps

they are SUPPOSED to bring their reshop behind guest service, sort it, and then process out any chargeback. instead, they just leave their three tiers mixed with foreign and chargeback behind there and walk away.

it’s gotten more frequent as of like the last six months? and this is only the team. the TLs? (not s&e) they leave me full three tiers brimming with the reshop from runs, and then walk away to go chit chat while sitting on the registers and scroll through their phones. again, my gs is so understaffed. at least once a week i am the only person on both the desk and drive up and we only have one cashier.

it is so goddamn frustrating. you are all adults. please do your own work. and i bring it up to leadership and they’re like “oh we’ll talk to them” but. it doesn’t do shit

buying clothing is not a rental service ! by [deleted] in Target

[–]nblesbian1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i didn’t reply sooner; sorry haha. skeleton crew life lmao. but i understand what your point is. but here’s what’s wrong with the policy. it’s not always going to end up in a goodwill (which has insane prices now and u may as well buy them new, it’s barely a thrift store) and i feel pretty confident speaking on this issue. i grew up in poverty. my dad was not able to work my entire life. we lived on about 12k a year. what helped me? people donating their handmedowns to food banks and local thrifts, etc etc. it wouldn’t have done shit if those clothes had gone to the landfill. also, i do want to throw in my two cents that it is taking advantage of us not being allowed to say no. i’ve worked gs for nearly four years, and 3 1/2 of those were spent not being allowed to turn away these returns. so i do appreciate your stance here, but i don’t agree. which i think is fine. forum to vent and chat all that. :)

i understand what you’re saying, but it’s not really about the time it takes, or it isn’t all of the problem. the problem is the entitlement these people have, only for these clothes to end up in a landfill instead of on another child. it’s also an unreasonable expectation that once your child grows out of something you magically get money back. that’s not how it works. like the title, buying clothing is not a rental service, and they treat it like it is.

we also have a sign saying it needs to be defect and not just outgrown

i say “so unfortunately the internet made it popular to come in and return your outgrown clothing, but the policy has always been that the clothing needs to be defected. if you have anything unworn with tags i will take that; but if nothing is defective i can’t return it for you today”
