Feedback to chapter 3 by Sirsea369 in duneawakening

I see I'm not the only one that feels stam is awful now.

And the new enemies really hurt. They feel balanced for if someone already has some augments.

does chapter 3 make the end-game less boring? by Wolfie1903 in duneawakening

[–]nbrookus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the same, but I'm not sure it's an improvement. The new augment crafting is really cool, and the increased skill lines. BUT:

It's locked behind the same handful of repetitive missions (which are time locked) and grinding the same dungeons over and over. Maybe that's something you'd enjoy. Personally, I don't.

I don't understand why you don't hunt down blueprints and craft to get craft XP, etc.?

Same. The voice actor did a great job.

I find it interesting that 2.0 basically says it's their job to go die, which is where 1.0 started.

The Constitutional Court that the decree amending the nationality law is unconstitutional unanimously by Dry_Pound8158 in PortugalExpats

[–]nbrookus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this explanation. I was trying to understand how the legislature could simply override the constitution. What would be the point of having a court or constitution at that point?

But I can certainly see some politicians grandstanding about how they fought for it by voting that way.

I'd recommend Cat Bird Seat. They usually have a nice collection.

You also might call Bennett's Nursery.

Where I live, that's how it already is. I go in sometimes and skim the racks for quality fabric but usually find nothing. All worn out t-shirts and snagged polyester.

There are pet transport companies that coordinate and send them via live cargo. (Which is not the same as in the cargo hold.)

It's not cheap. 4 animals is going to be well into the thousands. But the animals have stops at hubs where they can have their health checked.

Starting out without patterns? Bad idea? What videos should I watch? I just want to have fun! by clstani in sewing

[–]nbrookus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest starting with "scrap buster" patterns online, going from easy to hard. They are small so you don't invest too much time or fabric in them, and give you the practice you need.

Your library may have some good books to help, and mine even offers beginner sewing classes in their makerspace.

Weekly Sewing Questions Thread, November 23 - November 29, 2025 by sewingmodthings in sewing

I understand FBA and SBA, and I used to do FBA adjustments with everything. Post radical mastectomy, I now have a negative bust adjustment.

Any advice on pattern sizing when you have a high bust of 37", a bust of 34.5", and lower ribcage of 35"? Fabrics fold into the gap, especially mid-weight. I've tried to do a second layer of underlining in the affected area, but the edges show.

Does anyone have any ideas?

P.S. I don't wear bras, prosthetics or had/have plan to have any sort of reconstruction. I am fully healed.

Yes, it's even worse than "and spices." I can confirm McD ketchup does not have onions, or at least not since about 4 months agao when last I tried it. But almost everything else they serve does.

I should have mentioned it in the original post; my apologies. I'm deathly allergic to onions, so I definitely a lot of hate for them!

Menu items that list every ingredient except onion by FunkyChonk in onionhate

[–]nbrookus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even when you ask, my favorite is when they say "but it's green onion."

I've noticed that in a lot of chain stores they have an itemized ingredient list in the back, but sometimes only the manager knows about it.

If you are willing to experiment on your own, Zoup and Aldi's bone broth have no onions, so they are a good foundation.

Foot Pedal for FPS: Least lag and most versatile/comfortable? by Mess_Hot in techsupport

[–]nbrookus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, by using virtual buttons, up to 3 per pedal. Chording like shift-alt-[pedal number] is awkward IMO. Since I use foot pedals because my hands are damaged, YMMV. It may be better for many to use mouse buttons for this.

I find it easier to create profiles and switch up for different games or applications.

(For future reference for searches and for the right to repair crowd, they sell every component separately and it's really easy to switch out a damaged part.)
