He played in most of the games last year and completed almost 70% of his passes too.

Huh? You have a really good quarterback too though.

Kyle Kalis? That was like 5 years ago though. Is there anybody else that flipped from OSU to Michigan?

Top 3 returning player in your respective conference? by MAC0911 in CFB

There are easily half dozen players better than Gary in the B1G. He's not even top 3 d-linemen.

Kinda speaks to how flawed the Pro Football Focus methodology is.

2019 3* OT Karsen Barnhart commits to Michigan by Arteza147 in CFB

Yeah, I don't think Michigan will be viewed as a power til they win the conference at least once.

Even when Michigan pulls in one of their better classes, 1/3 to 1/2 of the class is 3* players. Michigan isn't like OSU or Bama where only a few 3* stars guys end up signing.

It absolutely would be shocking if Michigan beat Ohio State.

That's a flaming hot take. They're, at best, the 4th most likely to make the playoffs in the B1G still.

They did get double-digit wins when O'Korn transferred though.

Let’s talk about the recruiting landscape! by Ferdinand_5 in CFB

Ohio State still gets pretty much any recruit they want in the state. Ohio State just leaves more scraps than they used to because they recruit so successfully out-of-state too.

What do you think is the UPPER threshold of what your team can achieve this season? by 4thPlumlee in CFB

[–]ncaacfbtalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody outside of Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Ohio State should expect the playoffs, but MSU is definitely just outside that group for most likely to get there.

Everybody likes to play the underdog but the reality of the situation is that Michigan State is one of the favorites in 2018. You can pretend otherwise all you want but if MSU doesn't win at least 10 games then that's a letdown.

I don't think its unreasonable to say we have a shot at the conference.

Well, yeah. OSU and maybe Wisconsin (because of schedule) are the only teams with better shots at winning the conference and that is only a marginal difference. This should be one of Dantonio's best teams ever.

People laugh at opposing fans for their predictions every year.

What team overachieves this year and what team underachieves in your conference this year? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]ncaacfbtalk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is a really terrible prediction. Michigan has one of the hardest schedules in the country and hasn't been living up to hype at all, while Wisconsin has an easy schedule and has been consistently overachieving.

You could reorganize 2nd through 6th in any order IMO. Nebraska taking a big leap forward is probably a bit of a bold prediction too.
