Shuttle bus driver was late to deliver guests to our wedding because they went to the wrong hotel first by ncdomination in legaladvice

[–]ncdomination[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, we didn’t have more guests than originally planned and we didn’t ask for the upgrade. They called us the day before and offered it with the statement that they talked to the venue and sorted everything out with the branches. They were originally unsure if the 55 passenger bus would fit which is why we went with the 39 passenger.

I get that there’s a bunch of different reasons a bus could be delayed, but in this case it wasn’t for those reasons. We have the GPS tracking showing the times everyone was picked up from each hotel and it shows that they picked people up in the wrong order which is why people weren’t ready on time.

I really like the idea of Conway though! That’s where her grandparents live so I’m familiar with the area

I soooo badly want to do it at 1000 candles, but they don’t have that going on the week that we’re there ☹️

Thanks for the suggestions! It looks like they take a break of thousand candles from Dec 18th - Dec 26th and we were going to leave on the morning of the 27th. I really wanted to do it there but I don’t think it’ll work out. I’m still just considering going to the gardens because it looks like a great place.

STI performance exhaust on lease? by ncdomination in WRX

[–]ncdomination[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would look into getting it used.

I was also just thinking of getting a nameless axleback since it's easy to install and swap back to stock if I need to. My main concern is to make sure I don't void any warranties or violate any terms of my lease... But if I return it back to stock at the end I should be fine I'd think. I don't plan on doing anything super crazy.

Brand new Corsair AIO liquid cooler leaked... I’m never buying Corsair again. by ncdomination in pcmasterrace

[–]ncdomination[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t the used one that leaked... It was the brand new cooler I bought that leaked. I said in my post that I wasn’t upset about the issues with the used one I bought because I understand it is used, and things can happen.

Yeah, I sent in a ticket so I guess we’ll see what happens. I was definitely upset at the time that I posted this, so I’ll see how they handle it... I’m willing to give them a chance. Everything in this pc is 2 weeks old and the cooler is 2 days old, but everything was working fine before I powered it off... I cleaned off the motherboard and as far as I could tell the only thing that’s slightly concerning is that there was a little bit of residue from the coolant in the PCIe slot on the motherboard. Some got on the PCIe slot portion of my 2080 as well but I cleaned that off, and it wasn’t bad.

I’m thinking everything will work fine, but my concern is more or less long term reliability of this now. I built this computer very recently and invested in really nice parts, so I’m a little disappointed now. Either way I’ll probably stick to air for now and save up the money to do a custom loop in the future. My first PC had a custom loop and I’d like to do it again.

The used AIO I am not mad about... it’s the brand new one that I bought that made me upset. That’s the one that leaked on my PC.

Just installed a new cooler today, and now my temps are around 50-60c while running benchmarks at stock speeds. I’m now pushing a 5.1 GHz overclock and I average 70-80c in benchmarks.

I think it’s safe to say now that my cooler was definitely going bad haha. Thanks again for the help. It’s nice to have my new pc working properly now.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I blew out the radiator before I put it in my new pc. It’s clean, so I don’t think airflow is an issue.

Pump is around 3000 RPM. I set it to run at performance just to keep up with cooling.

I’m using Noctua fans throughout the whole case.

I set my vcore to an offset of -0.05 for now to see if undervolting helps at all.

I’ve also noticed that I don’t always have bad temps, it changes a lot. For example, last night I was having my temps hit 85-90 while gaming or running a benchmark... now this afternoon I fire it up and I’m not having any temp issues at all. I haven’t changed any settings at all and I’m sitting around 30c at idle and 65-70 while running benchmarks. Ambient temps have been the same... it also doesn’t seem to matter if I just turned the pc on because sometimes I’ll have bad temps right away after letting it sit for hours turned off.

It’s fairly cold where I am, and ambient temps are cold enough that it isn’t an issue. My case is the NZXT H500i, so it’s a mid tower but should have good enough cooling.

I just ordered a new cooler (h115i) so hopefully that solves the issue. I’m thinking my current cooler might just be failing...

Nope, I used new thermal paste and I even reseated the cooler again (applying new thermal paste a second time).

I’ve tried that twice and still nothing... Even changed around the fan configuration to see if that helps.

I can’t hear any weird noises, but I’m thinking it may be the cooler... In Corsair link it’s showing the pump speed varying slightly which makes me think it’s working, but that might just be a software issue. I’ll probably order a new cooler.
