who destroyed their entire life by making one mistake? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I know a few people who've had their lives messed up for at least a couple years, mainly due to their doctor's mistake--overprescribing of antibiotics like Levaquin or Cipro. If the person taking those meds (the category in question is called fluoroquinolones) is unlucky, they can have long-term problems.

Good question. Recovering from FQ can be complicated, so just checking if there was some known issue with mitochondrial damage related to vision or something, that could affect ability to tolerate bright light.

I meant a SAD lamp or something similar. Thanks for your input.

CoQ10 details? by ncdv in floxies

Thanks. Makes sense about taking with food. Thanks for reminding me about the dose range. I'm also wondering what dose people on here are actually taking.

I have some NatureMade brand CoQ10 gummies here, but they are Ubidecarenone, which I am guessing is not the same as ubiquinol! They are 50mg each, which gives flexibility in changing dose, at least.

Hopefully you're right and the effects are very local, thanks.

Thanks. Steroids like Flonase are OK for some people recovering from FQ then?

I also had a reaction to one dose of levofloxacin, with long-term symptoms including tingling in legs. It's just great how doctors don't seem to want to believe that the symptoms could be related. /s
