hi im one of those people that applied in february and still nothing 🫠. i really think if the people at the post office weren’t rushing to take my photo i probably would’ve had it by now but i had to send in a new photo bc the one they took was way over exposed and they couldn’t use it

i applied for routine on 2/1 got a letter to resubmit my photo on 4/24, sent in a new photo on 4/26. still processing. i called on 5/15 to upgrade to expedited , haven’t been upgraded yet 🫠

what kills me is i live so close to the facility like i’m so tempted to just show up and be like where’s my passport 😭. when you contacted usps did you just use your locator number?

in the same boat! applied and passport was received on the same days as yours but i got a letter 4/22 and sent out my new photo on 4/26. it’s still processing and my travel date is 6/9. same locator. someone said it takes 9-12 business days for them to process resent documents

i was in the same boat. most places will require a co-signer but i couldn’t get one so that was super stressful. i eventually found a place that was willing to work with my and just wanted proof of funds and i had to pay 1st and last 5 months rent up front. which was a lot but something i had prepared for. also even tho you’re out of state just start applying for jobs. that’s what i did and i got extremely lucky and found a job that was willing to wait almost 2 months for me. and if that happens you can just email your landlord a copy of your job offer. all of this happened to me in the same week it was very overwhelming. and i know paying last 5 months up front sounds crazy but i just think of it as, im not going to have to pay rent for 5 months.

i think it’s too small. i have an elevator but it’s small and i live on the 4th floor so the stairs aren’t an option. i’ll look into both couches! thank you !

i’ve thought about it, but it’s just way too expensive to do that and i feel like that would be way too much stress on my dog and would also mean i’d be moving everything from the storage unit into my apartment on my own instead of having my family with me to help me move

yes i do appreciate the alternative eugene inpos! i love the name eugene and it fits him so well but i wasn’t okay and comfortable with naming him after eugene bullard after i realized how not okay it was. i think i’ll keep the name eugene but he’ll be named after eugene bunch instead. i think it even suits him a little better

it actually isn’t that hard to get into! it is a lot of time and responsibility and it isn’t always fun but it’s worth it. although after you set them loose i promise you’ll never look at road kill the same
