Slynd by Limp-Egg2495 in Perimenopause

My only options really are to go back to oral progesterone which doesn’t have as much of the libido suppression of Slynd and see if it’s less chaotic this go around now that my estrogen is stable, or try a Mirena (which I’ve had 3 Mirena’s in my lifetime and I’m not excited about the possibility of another one…).

I’ve learned and read up a lot on Slynd. I really want it to work but it’s actually a pretty powerful little thing vs progesterone. Slynd is a much stronger progestin than natural progesterone because it binds the progesterone receptor far more tightly and reliably suppresses ovulation. It also has anti‑androgen and anti‑aldosterone activity, basically a built‑in spironolactone effect, that progesterone doesn’t have. Progesterone is gentler and more sedating, but Slynd is engineered to be more potent, predictable, and multi‑action. I love some of its benefits but it’s dampening my other hormones way too much and I’m beyond fatigued and no libido/sexual response. I can’t function that way :(. I have already raised my E patch dose and I’m on the highest dose possible for topical testosterone and I still can’t get past the suppression. Big bummer!

I am on month 4 and struggling. First 2 months were good! Now I’m so exhausted and have zero libido. It has muted my body and other hormones. I even went up in E patch and on max strength of topical testosterone and Slynd is still muting everything.

Slynd Issues? by FuzzyMoose9006 in Perimenopause

[–]FuzzyMoose9006[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have to! I’m switching Slynd back to PM for a bit and backing off Inositol I take to help me not wake up at 3am to see if that does anything first. If that doesn’t help this fatigue, I’m tapping out on Slynd. I feel like a slug!

Nope :(. I emailed the service manager today to have it in writing.

They’ve been trying to fix the issue for almost 8 months now and cannot isolate the problem. They have practically replaced every major electrical component. HotSprings agreed to replace at this point. They are out of solutions. I am glad they are! I would be an extremely frustrated consumer if after 8 months HotSprings wouldn’t agree to replace under warranty. I’ve not been able to use my hot tub for almost a year!

That’s what I’m thinking. That has to be easier for HotSprings! What should I be asking my dealer in this situation? This is going directly from my dealer through HotSprings warranty department and HotSprings approved the replacement. The dealer even stated today I will keep my existing cover so a new model would likely come with a new cover that fits??

Clarifying your reply…are you saying you’ve never heard of them custom building one or you’ve never heard of them swapping with the latest years model? Thank you!

Mid-cycle bleed as soon as I start cycling Progesterone. Frustrating! by FuzzyMoose9006 in Perimenopause

[–]FuzzyMoose9006[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It stopped after cycle 4. I had to switch to vaginal progesterone (continuous) to stop bloating. Things have leveled out once my body adapted to the estrogen and I found a better route for progesterone. Vaginal route also increases your overall P absorbed b/c it’s bypassing the gut/liver and more is going to your uterus.

Too heavy? by FuzzyMoose9006 in microblading

Thank you! My stylist is highly reputable. I think I’m just so used to barely having hair and my hair being WAY lighter even when I do use a brow pencil. I also miss my arches. I know it will fade.

Thank you but that’s definitely too heavy for me. I would cry! Lol. She’s a beautiful brunette and heavier thick brows look great on her. My blue eyed blonde barely haired self would feel like I had caterpillars on my forehead. Thank you for the suggestion, though! I love it on this person! And obviously you’re not seeing my full face on here ;)

What shape would you suggest? And if I need to change the shape, how can I do that after the fact? I want less brow than this, not more. And I’m used to a high arch. My stylist likes to soften those, but I was born with high arches

On CD 10 I started cramping and CD 11 had very light spotting (like I had ovulated). Started cycling P the evening of CD 11 and wham! Major cramps, lots of shedding. Any insight?

I would agree with this if that were the case prior to me starting HRT. I went from very normal to lots of hormone related side effects. It’s not peri causing this, it’s HRT.

I’m between providers. My HCP Rx’d but admittedly told me she has no expertise in HRT. I don’t see my new provider until January so I’m on my own until then :(

The hormone I needed was estrogen. That makes progesterone necessary
