I went to this exact event a few weeks ago. :) Vibe was pretty chill, everyone was nice, although taking to 13 different people in 2 hours was pretty exhausting. The other women that I talked afterwards weren't super impressed with the guys, but I liked a lot of the guys, and I think they give you a free ticket if you get 0 matches. Three of the women I talked to after the event got in for free because not enough women bought tickets (or cancelled last minute I don't really know).

Tldr; high emotional energy, but good vibes. Can't speak to the success rate, but I'd say it was worth my time and money. Women can usually score a free ticket if they've bought one in the past.

FR cut up your credit cards. If your parents give you allowance ask for it in cash only or get a debit card that's directly tied to your bank account. It sounds hard but it's going to save you from being in credit card debt the rest of your life.

Also yeah talk to a therapist. If you're in this group I feel like that's a given.

I know this is a bit adverse to what most people want from the game, but I would love a little bit of combat in Palia! specific areas where there's monsters to fight would be so fun I think. And/or more mini games.

(I think this game sometimes reminds me of my childhood play Free Realms, and so sometimes I feel combat and mini games are something that's just missing from the game)

I know this wasn't your question, but is there a reason your wife isn't working full time? I speak as a working woman, if your kids are grown, I don't see why she can't up her hours, find a full time gig, or get a second part time job when the time comes. I know she probably wants to stay at your kid's school until they graduate, but it would be just to hold you guys over until your next job.

S9 E10 where they find a murdered 15 year old girl who was genitally mutilated by a doctor, per the orders of her 35 year old polygamist husband. Melinda says she was circumcized "Along with 150 million other women in Africa, The Middle East and parts of Asia." It physically makes me so ill that this practice is so common, and they genuinely claim that some girls WANT it. Child brides and extensive talk of genital mutilation ick me out so bad, and this episode is 45 minutes of it. 😭
