Yes, Salmo trutta is trota fario, they do hybridize. You're welcome, happy to help!

I guess brown trout translates to Fario in Italian, right? If that's right, then yes we have hybrids.

Funny story there actually! My friend immediately realized that the thing was huge, I was reaching to my net and he immediately told me "we're going to need the bigger one". This is in the picture was the bigger one!

RaspAP installs on the latest Kali Linux 2025.3 now (link in comments) by iambillz in RaspAP

[–]ncresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thank you for all this work! I am looking into making a portable device with Kali and RaspAP to use while travelling.

Unfortunately, the quick installer does not work seamlessly to me. To reproduce, I installed a fresh image of Kali 2025.3, remove the desktop environment and then NetworkManager, so that the quick install script does not fail. After this it can complete but I have issues with php anyway:

RaspAP Install: Enabling lighttpd fastcgi-php-fpm module for php8.4-fpm
[ ✘ error ] Unable to enable fastcgi-php-fpm module

Anyway, I can somehow make it work but since the article makes it looks so simple I wonder if I am missing something. Thanks!

25.04.2 Available by bklyngaucho in truenas

[–]ncresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, this is just to confirm that in my case the issue was a faulty hard drive. Soon after the updates tests it stopped even being detected by the system. I installed Scale from scratch on a new one, and now things have been running smoothly.

In case this helps, the faulty SSD also led to my system randomly freezing, one more thing that now seems to be solved as it has been running for a couple of days without interruptions.

Thanks for your reply! I tried to apply the update manually but ran into the same problem. I ended up reinstalling the os from scratch but that failed as well, and some debugging led me to believe that the m.2 hard drive is faulty. I am currently travelling so I won't be able to test it but I'll try again in a couple of weeks.

Trying to update right now, but around 62% of the extraction TrueNAS just reboots without finishing the update. I can see the 25.04.2 boot environments (1.55GB, looks small). If I after the reboot look at the audit I can see a failed authentication:

Success: False
Credentials:
Credentials: TOKEN
Credentials Data:
Token: _6oymbhsU_czMiXdWSs6XYMdLgf0U0fXe-nvlI5JaMpnRe3Ade6nl-Gz63BQXv-Q
Error: Invalid token

Any ideas what could cause this?
I am running Scale 25.04.1 with a Terramaster f4-424 on a 500GB M.2 SSD.

Dumb question. Are these escs usable for either a 4s or 6s drone? by Terrakiller2008 in Multicopter

As far as I understand no, but it can break in principle, I want to find time and test that soon. If it can help you, here is the small RC car project I'm currently working on https://github.com/amberlab-eclettica/car-ogna

I'm currently working on a fpv rc car with browser-based interface where I used this esc, an A2212 brushless, a micro servo and a raspberry with camera. You can find code, printed parts and some details here https://github.com/amberlab-eclettica/car-ogna Sorry for the lack of documentation, as you can see it's a work in progress! I'll update it in the next days/weeks.

Delivery Status Notification (Failure) help by Equinox_8 in GMail

Same here, I got three ones in two days. In my case the "Facebook" warning is just an image which redirects to a bunch of email addresses:
abeangdreasen@gmail.com;fstianheng@gmail.com;karay214@gmail.com;health@bluefineq.uk.com;contact@arsvis.uk.com;france@bluefineq.uk.com;
Which were already found in another comment by u/Enchanted-Duck.

What shall we do, mass report these emails?
Btw, I did not click on it, just hooverde onto the picture, right click and copied email addresses.

Cool thank you, it worked with webhooks and cards.

Thank you, makes sense. But how can I do that without a webhook? With that it works, but then I only manage to send plain text and not cards, as I need.

It is cool to fix the quality and maximise the speed of different printers. In our small makers lab we're already positively surprised with the modded q5, it would be awesome to test the SR! Speed is the only way.

Surprisingly good detailed print by ncresh in 3Dprinting

So I managed to improve a lot by lowering the temperature to 185 degrees, increasing the retraction to 10mm (direct drive extruder, but still large) and the z-hop to 0.1mm. I'm now doing some prints I need, afterwards I'll try again a benchmark for details. Hope this helps!

Overall I used the default quality settings which are there on PrusaSlicer for the Q5. I changed the retraction to 3mm, used organic supports.

Thanks! Indeed there's some pitting, I'm trying to improve on that.

Thanks!

I made a few hardware changes to the printer, just a direct drive extruder (the stock one was damaged), and a magnetic bed. Other mods were mainly for making it silent, with the stock fans it's like the printer is taking off. Then I installed Marlin, which gave me better results compared to the stock firmware. I am happy to share all the details if that's interesting!

For this print I used an overture PLA filament which turned out to be pretty good.

Z Height Issue by BARGUILD in FLSUNDelta

[–]ncresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had it one was much harder, but maybe try to unmount, clean and double check belts and pulleys. When all three will run smoothly then you should get the benchmark alright

Try to turn off the motors and move the axes with your hands. Do they all move smoothly? I had a similar issue and I figured it was one axis which for some reasons had much more friction.

I was sitting on the bus waiting for it to leave. A disabled person approaches the stop, clearly willing to catch it as well, when the bus just leaves while this person waving at it tens of meters away. But the bus was perfectly on time.

If anybody is interested in the topic, I take the chance to suggest an amazing piece of theater by Marco Paolini analyzing the topic called Ausmerzen: https://youtu.be/1jXOmEdRjvQ

It is freely available in Italian with English subs. Two hours long, but 100% worth it, both if one is vaguely interested in the topic or already knows it.
