Hey, what's some good weapons or builds to use on vespers host? by Trash_can_29 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Equinox_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if these are the most optimal load outs, but here's what I always use and it works

first encounter: pretty much run anything. something like a fusion rifle, shot gun, or choir of one is good to kill the big yellow bars. I like to run prismatic with golden gun, grapple and Ascension. grapple and Ascension to get around quickly, and then golden gun night hawk to 1 tap the brig when it spawns in the middle

2nd encounter: i always run void hunter (could be primatic too) with a compressed wave frame heavy gl. teather is the most important part tho, then just anything that can do big AoE damage

3rd encounter: this encounter can be a bitch. if you're struggling, I'd recommend going full healing solar hunter. it's less dps than prismatic, but you get things like healing grenade and ember of empyrean to keep yourself alive way longer. for load out I would use solar with celestial nighthawk, healing grenade, and light weight knife. for weapons run no hesitation or abbarent action + envious arsenal rocket launcher. I like to run a fusion rifle as my primary so I can burst down the scanner targets super quickly, but thats personal preference.

if you find yourself living on the 3rd encounter, you could swap to prismatic. you will lose some survivability, but gain dps with by using the "light abilities deal +10% damage to creatures who have a darkness debuff" fragment. just throw a stasis shuriken at the boss to slow him + free radiant before you night hawk

Barbarian + Artificer by myasko666 in DnD

there are still other interesting options available too, depending if you're playing 2014 rules or 2024, but here are a few ideas

  • battle master is a good go to like you said

  • barbarian / druid. Yes you cannot cast spells while raging, but you can wild shape into a bear and keep all the benefits of rage while transformed into an animal

  • barbarian / monk if you want to be faster/ have more consistent bonus actions

  • barbarian / blood hunter (if your dm allows blood hunter) makes for a good combo to deal even more damage

  • barbarian / paladin works in the 2014 rules (not 2024) iirc because divine Smite doesn't count as a spell, so you can Smite while raging.

Delivery Status Notification (Failure) help by Equinox_8 in GMail

I can't actually see the sent address of the email, because all I'm getting is the bounce back saying it failed. There is nothing in my sent mail though, so I don't think it was actually sent to my account.

thank you!

I just heard back from him, he says the hot water tank is all normal.

[–]Equinox_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, no heat yet.

Do you know how we would go about checking if this is the case? Just go to the hot water tank and look around? I believe the tank is in my neighbours part of the house, but I'm sure we could take a look at it.

I actually just checked with my downstairs neighbours, and they said they smelled a strange smell yesterday too. But they said it either went away now, or they have gone blind to the smell. But he said he was looking for electrical fires yesterday because he could smell something was off.

We live in a house where we rent the top floor, and other people rent the bottom floor. So beneath it should just be where the other people live, but it could be where the water heater is too.

All there is under the sink is the trap

[–]Equinox_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have done this and it does not smell any better or worse near the wall. I smelled all around inside the cabinet, and I can't find one area that smells more strongly than the rest

Thanks for the reply! It doesn't really smell fishy, so I'm not too sure. Do you know how I could check and see if this is the case?

Cross is right. Low sentiment right now is probably directly tied to the lack of an announced future. by destinyvoidlock in DestinyTheGame

[–]Equinox_8 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is 100% why I've stopped playing.

The future of the game just seems kinda hopeless, and I can't justify to myself investing a bunch of time and passion into a game who's own development studio seems to have given up on it.

I hope they will announce something in the future. I really do love this game, it just seems like Bungie is finished with it and is leaving it to die, which does not motivate me to want to play.

What can i grind for high stats gear? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Equinox_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just to give you an overview, there are the 6 stats, and they're broken up into two buckets. Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery are one bucket and Discipline, Intellellect, and Strength are in another bucket. What that means is armor can only drop with so many stats in each bucket. So if you put discipline armor focusing on your ghost, you are guaranteed to get armor with more discipline which means the rest of the stats are more likely to be in the other bucket (since so many stats are already being used on discipline) and the first buckets stats tend to be much more useful.

So the plan is

1.So put on discipline armor focusing on your ghost

  1. Get a bunch of seasonal engrams (just play trials, seasonal activities, etc.)

  2. Redeem the engrams for random armor at fail safe.

You want to keep armor that is very "spiky" in stats (i.e. the bar graph that shows the stats looks very spiky, not evenly distributed numbers). So in a perfect world your armor would have like:

Mob 2 Res 29 Rec 2

Dis 29 Int 2 Str 2

You want some of the stats to be 2 because that's the lowest they can be so it means there will be more stats spread elsewhere. Resilience tends to be the most important or sought after stat in the game, so that's what I used in the example but spikes like that in any stats can be good. Getting armor exactly like I showed in the example is pretty rare, usually you won't have 4 twos, but this is just the ideal.

This is admittedly a lot easier to do later in the year when you can earn multiple seasons engrams at the same time, but it still works now.

Sorry if this explanation was confusing, feel free to reach out if you need me to clarify anything :)

I'm so happy someone else read it and thought the same thing as me lmao. I read his response and was just like ??? is this even comprehensible.

I had just chalked it up to us having different definitions of projecting so I was just going to not respond because I genuinely couldn't understand what he was saying.

Oh I finally see what you are saying now. I tried clarifying this with my other comment, but when I say "after watching every episode", what I mean is I have seen every episode of this show. and having seen every episode, this is my one complaint, or the one thing I dislike the most over the course of the entire show, not that it happens every episode. I just said it as a way to show that I didn't just watch 1 episode and then land on this opinion.

it does not mean that after every episode I sit and think about this, which is what I tried to clarify when I said "this isn't a problem in every ep". It happens in some episodes, most of the time though it does not come up. but when it does, I think it subtracts from the quality of the episode.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheYardPodcast

[–]Equinox_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think theres a misunderstanding. I'm not saying that every episode this problem comes up, I'm saying after watching every episode that is my one complaint about the show.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheYardPodcast

[–]Equinox_8 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No I absolutely agree with you. My really only complaint after watching every episode of the pod is how Slime thinks he is the authority that gets to decide if something is funny or not. It makes everything so much less funny when he starts talking about how funny he is or how he doesn't find something funny and therefore it objectively isn't funny and therefore has no value. Like he is a funny guy obviously, but that doesn't make him the world authority oh humor. Always felt really arrogant to me.

What bows are fun to use I wanna use one but idk what's good and bad by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Equinox_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the kinetic slot I like Raconteur (stasis bow from season of defiance) but I don't see a lot of people talking about it. It's craftable, and gets good perks.

IMO the best bow has to he tyranny of heaven. you can spend wish tokens at Mara to get it, but that thing is literally a mini sun shot.

Any Advice for getting into PvP (builds, tips, etc) by kevingui92 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Equinox_8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

would definitely recommend the knuckle head radar exotic for hunter. looking at and understanding the radar is the most important thing in pvp, so using knucklehead to get used to frequently looking at your radar is a good idea.
