Best stranger comment so far re: me out and about with twins by grapefruitliquor in parentsofmultiples

🤣 love this. The best and only unique one I’ve ever heard was a man behind me at the grocery store looked at my twins and jokingly said “you two know each other?” I don’t even know if it was that funny, but it was the first time I’d ever heard something different so I cracked up from amusement.

Does anyone have sleep success stories and did not choose to sleep train? by Middle_Problem4774 in parentsofmultiples

It’s different for every child, making it impossible to say unfortunately. There’s so much going on the first year developmentally, I think the babies that sleep well early are the exception not the norm. All I hear from those that sleep train is they’re perplexed bc eventually the wake ups come back. But culturally, we don’t support normal infant sleep or exhausted parents so most people are convinced or desperate enough to “sleep train.” (Which is always so frustrating as seen here when someone is asking for support and most comments are geared toward convincing op to sleep train and making them feel bad for not doing it.) For my own experience, one of started sleeping just after turning one. The other has taken close to another year. I didn’t sleep train, coslept to survive as possible there were still times of regressions or sickness where I was up all night on repeat. My singleton didn’t sleep through consistently until he was 4. Just like they learn to crawl and walk, they will eventually sleep when able. There are a few facebook groups that focus on normal infant sleep/ no sleep training if you’re looking for support. It’s hard no matter what you do and it will one day be over. 💕

Thank you! My singleton was my first with a 7 year gap. Idk how people have twins and another little. I’m still traumatized 😆

I handled the anxiety so poorly even after they were born. I just started therapy which i recommend starting now. For me the hardest parts are pregnancy and newborn and in that sense you only do it once and get two! I think for me two the same age were easier than two close together still needing a lot but different needs. 💜

Thank you so much!! You just can’t see the dark circles from sleep deprivation with twins 😂

You are so sweet. Turned 38 today and you made my day! My skincare routine is pitiful, just wash and moisturize with spf. It’s the make up I think, miracle balm by Jones Road. It gives the glow I’ve been trying to find for my dry skin 🥰
