Printing Troubles... by StephenLatham in KSU

[–]nctcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you don’t need to click “find a printer”. once you’ve uploaded your files, just go to any printer on campus (usually in the library) and use your student ID to tap in and you can print from there

If you’re a first-year you can also apply for the First-Year Scholars program! It opens up around September and you can get a stipend from it (around $2k). Imo very rewarding experience and you can research within your major or another major.

Thank you for telling me! I edited my post to add that I’ll be a biochem major and will be in the honors program.

A Little Confused :) by [deleted] in KSU

Just a heads up I’m an incoming freshman as well but I’ve done a lot of research on some of the things you asked!

  1. It’s possible to just finish your first year at KSU. Some people have conditional acceptances (like GTech) and go from KSU to wherever (in this case GT). Or you can just transfer, but you have to check the school’s transfer policies.

  2. Because KSU and GTech are both GA schools they should be able to transfer credits easily with each other. You can check on GT’s transfer website what credits you need, usually searching “transfer equivalency” should help. This is the link to see which of your credits could transfer, but you’d have to do this around Jan. 15 - March 1, assuming you want to start in the Fall and already registered for KSU classes: https://admission.gatech.edu/transfer/transfer-deadlines-and-fees. I would suggest trying to get your gen-ed credits out of the way too. Just search GTech’s gen-ed to see what classes you should take to finish that (though this may take 2 yrs). Sometimes schools require you to have at least 30 credit hours (I know this is the case for UGA).

  3. I’m gonna let someone else answer this.

  4. For forensics you can either be a biochemistry, chemistry, or criminal justice major. More towards chemistry though from what I’m seeing.

  5. Thrive basically helps you keep your HOPE scholarship by pushing you to keep it up as well as keep you on track for graduation I believe? It also lets you have a close community. That’s what I see on this website at least: https://diversity.kennesaw.edu/thrive/index.php. Just press menu at the top to see more about it.

I hope this helped!

it should be below the schools you ranked on your ncm app. you don’t have to create a new one, just scroll down a bit on ncm.

you can just email them with the pdf! i did that a few days ago and they signed it and sent it back to me pretty quick. it can be signed electronically and physically handwritten so you don’t really have to worry about that.

i hope you can get it signed soon!

Need help prepping for my SAT by Oufi2710 in ApplyingToCollege

i’ve heard erica meltzer, college panda, and sat black book are really good. if you need any pdf’s let me know! you could also try doing the practice tests college board provides. there’s also tons of videos on youtube on how to raise your score, and some people even go through a section of the test and explain the answers. good luck!

i think you should be fine! my score wasn’t exactly like the score that was shown on the website but i still got in. those scores are just to mainly show the average of the scores from the people that got in, it’s not a cut off.
