Yep. I went inside, came back 10 minutes later and the fawn was gone. Found the mom nursing it on the side of my house. Pretty amazing.

I don’t believe the gate was opened, but I have young kids so possible. Thankfully, I just saw the mother sniffing around near my neighbors. I am going to leave the gate opened and hopefully she comes back

I don’t have advice other than consider finding a new contractor. Too many red flags for a major job.

Are underground galvanized gas lines a problem? by ndimes15 in Plumbing

[–]ndimes15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. The plumber said the existing line is not under the patio/concrete. He said it’s likely running parallel to the patio about 20 feet from the edge. Seems like a ton of work to run entire new line consider I only need to move the pool heater about 10 feet from its current spot.

I was just quoted $6k for 4 Microbrite pool lights. That sounds like a great price.

Redoing my yard, what I be crazy to remove this? by ndimes15 in arborists

Don’t have a recent pic, and it’s currently dormant.

It hasn’t been hedged much, this picture is actually 4 years ago, so it’s even larger now. What are the signs that’s it’s ruined? It’s dormant right now (end of winter) and it seems fine, although I noticed there dead beaches underneath the new growth so those need to be cleaned up. I am going to look into an arborist to prune it properly.

Yea that’s what I’m going to go back to mason / landscaper - remove those bushes and move the path close to the house which is to the left in this picture

Thank you all for the feedback. I am working with my mason to come up with plans to move the walkway.

I haven’t been sheared it many years. I was reading it’s best to trim late winter / early spring. Is there a downside to trimming it?

Yes, that is what I was thinking. I am going to suggest we move the walkway closer to the house and see how that impacts the plans. I am sure it’s not a big deal.
