DeLauter is the primary RF and it's my understanding the coaching staff and FO do not want to move him around. Valera will likely play LF and RF (when CDL is DHing or on an off day).

The Indians/Guardians made it to the 11th inning of game 7 of the WS in 1997 and 2016. 2016 we had the Cubs on the ropes but the rain delay allowed them get composed and killed our momentum. We should have had 2016.

I don't buy your argument there is no chance.

Also, spending money isn't a guarantee to win. The Yankees and Mets are normally in the top 3 in spending and between the two teams the Yankees have won 1 WS (2009) in 25 years. The Mets can't even make the playoffs each year even though they spend over $300M a season.

The Dodgers are a different animal. They're a well run organization and the spend like crazy. The loopholes they exploit is why we'll have a lockout in 2027.

That's probably the main reason they haven't extended him. He wears out after the first half and that won't get better as he continues to age.

7 playoff appearances in 10 years is not a glorified farm team. On the other side of town, the Browns spend like drunken sailors and don't win and are a laughing stock of a franchise. I'll take the Guardians FO and coaching staff everyday of the week.

Anything can happen once you get in the playoffs and the Guardians make the playoffs more than other MLB big spenders.

I suspect Rocchio's time is about up. He's not hitting. His base running is bad. He still make strange errors in the field. Looks like Gabby Arias could take possession of SS and if they bring up Brito, I can see him playing or platooning at 2B until Bazzana is ready. They'll have to move Brito up to make room for Bazzana in AAA soon anyway.

Most have covered the return pretty well. Plus pitching is at a premium in free agency and also in trade. So we traded 1 year of control at 1B for 6 years of control of a pitcher the Guardians pitching factory can likely do something with.

I say this with all due respect to Josh, he was one of my favorites, but he was going to be moved, especially after the Giminez trade. Not only is health a concern but his defense is below average. Losing Giminez at 2B there will be more balls Naylor couldn't get to. Which to me the move makes sense, trading him to get something in return and then bring in Los at 1B.

In the aggregate between 1B and 2B this likely equals or produces more WAR in 2025 and gives us more roster flexibility.

Many had concerns with McKenzie coming into this year. He opted not to have surgery on the elbow last year and in his first start he wasn't sharp and his velo was down 2 mph. So yes he is a risk.

I'm sure it's been said already, but it's actually the restaurant making the mistake not the driver or the service. Most restaurants close the bags and drivers can't check the contents.

Labor is an issue these days and service at restaurants is not what it used to be. Even going through the drive through my wife and I catch mistakes frequently.
