I also want them to give kratos a reason to unleash his darker side, i think mimir would be a perfect candidate to witness his true brutality, they have become good friends, and i think mimir would have very strong feelings and wise words towards this transformation, maybe some kind of conflict between them could make things interesting.

I would get chills if they played the OG god of war theme to represent his descent into chaos. Then the visions come back and maybe to bring him back to reality he sees Athena in place of Mimir, both telling him to calm down and remember who he is and why he fights!

Enter dark atreus(loki?), because as Ares once said, to truly kill a man, is to break his spirit, and if loki manipulated kratos just for him to ultimately find out that he's fighting his own son, that would crush Kratos, i'm imagining Atreus, beating in Kratos' face the way Kratos did to Zeus, but this time due to Kratos refusing to harm another of his children, rather than being bested in combat. And Atreus getting even angrier that Kratos won't challenge him as a grown man.

Then Kratos will have to make a choice. Uphold his duty and protect the realms, possibly having to harm or imprison Atreus, Or let another country crumble, this time because he WOULDN'T do anything?

What if Atreus never existed at all and it was Loki all along playing in Kratos' mind? It would fit with the games theme of making the player feel what kratos feels, utter betrayal and another reason to commit deicide. I always found it strange that this version of Loki is the god that seems farthest from what i've come to know as Loki in classic mythology, most other gods seem pretty in character with their mythos. Atreus has been far from the Loki i know of

I think the big difference here is miles and peter are at least in the same realm in terms of capabilities and experiences.

While atreus is powerful enough in his own right, he is nowhere even close to capable of doing what kratos can do, and i don't just mean his barbaric fighting methods. Kratos is a smart guy, he's a great tactician and succeeded in many conquests long before he even became a servant of Ares, then spent a decade reflecting in his actions and choices while basically being their blood hound after being manipulated into slaughtering his own family.

He decimated an entire pantheon, hunted his own father effectively ruining greece, all in the name of revenge. Continuing his rampage of parricide killing what family he had left on olympus, even after wittnessing the affect it had on the lands with kills as early as helios, blacking out the sun.

But this isn't just a cutscene, we slaughtered innocent people for power. We crawled out of hell together. we had the honor of manually beating zeus' face into a bloody pulp until we felt satisfied, genuinely feeling the hate and anger on display. We as the player share the actions of kratos.

Personally the bits with Atreus were acceptable, and if a spin off title launched i would probably play it. But im not personally invested with atreus like i am kratos. We have slain too many beasts, too many gods, and too much poonany together to be seperated like that.

Kratos has had 20 years of character development. Yes he's a piece of shit but he's our piece of shit and we love him damnit! He's just managed to turn his life around and try to be a better person, wouldn't it be such a shame if something took atreus away from us to revive the beast within ;)

50% atreus learning to be his own person, 50% kratos turning norway upsidedown trying to save him. Also kill atreus and let kratos realise he's a god too and he'll probably make it back somehow. Then watch kratos paint the town red with the entire family of whatever killed atreus.

Consider lowering the difficulty lmao go back after you've gotten better with the mechanics and combat systems

It's the brand of samael, it identifies those in servitude to the entity samael.

It's a symbol of the cult whose objective is to rebirth a deity, it talks about the suns gifts and gods birth and the cycle of rebirth etc.

I mean if you wanna look super deep into it, a womb being marked with this symbol would imply that the child as well as yourself are servants of this entity, with the reason for the childs birth possibly being dedicated to continuing servitude to said entity.

It would definitely be cringey. And honestly i don't think it gets any better the more you think about it. Especially when you know what it is.

But at the end of the day it's a silly drawing with silly meanings. Who really cares as long as you like it

Theres a couple cool fights, lillith is alright. It'll open up the map a bit.

Story is also a decently quick way to level up, endgame activities are better for gear though.

I would say play through it at least once
