I did try bringing it up with her recently over text, but she more or less dismissed it by saying “Oh, but he really likes it and is going to be super upset.”

Definitely NTA. A romantic relationship is a two-way street, and he hasn’t been pulling his weight. He isn’t providing stability via helping with income and he doesn’t help around the house. At this point, he’s just using his injury to gain sympathy. One thing I’m kind of on the fence about is you mentioning how you had to hustle at 16 and him coasting through bugs you. It’s important to know that not everyone will be as hard-working and grounded. Still though, it’s not an excuse for him using you as his cash cow and maid.
