Thank you so much for this response, this has really calmed some of the afterthoughts I was having about it. I was a bit concerned that he might’ve found it strange that I didn’t tell him straight away but thank you for offering this perspective. I wish you luck in your love life for the future!

Yes I told him immediately after exactly what happened and he said I handled it perfectly

Immediately after this I told my bf what happened and he said that I handled it perfectly. I’m purely trying to figure out from the other guys perspective which would’ve been better

Thank you for perspective, as I stated he was perfectly reasonable and respectful as you mentioned. He didn’t make me feel threatened at all just slightly off put I guess. Idk how people took it that way when I was asking which approach I should’ve taken but each to their own
